3 floors of Thunder Bay history and interactive exhibits. Free parking w/ a minimal entrance fee. They were working on a new exhibit when we were there but the promise of the polar bear exhibit looks good and very kid friendly.

I take my class there every year and they are so good and patient with the kids. They have 1h upstairs were they watch a movie and learn and then they have time to explore the museum. The ladies working there are really awesome.

This is an interest to everyone. Most don't know it. E.g. Gifts for senior reads, puzzles gifts you won't find elsewhere. Then of course touring the meaning of Museum ( old artifacts, history , looking up history itself .) A fascinating walk through our local & surrounding areas history. Friendly staff will assist you.

The high-point of the visit, for me, was the exhibit on the local music scene in Thunder Bay. The military exhibits were great as well.

The Museum is not just a normal history...i.e city builders, famous people. It includes medical history, retail history, jails and all aspects of life in the city. The museum is divided by eras in history by floors. The displays are very realistic and colourful. There are interactive portions of the museum as well. The First Nations history is very well done. This is a smaller museum but it makes use of all the space with amazing exhibits and I found the staff to be very well informed and helpful a nice way to spend an hour or two

Maybe not the best museum I've ever been to, it did have some nice displays. I would love to see some more explanations/stories on some of the displays and artifacts.
