We were there in the off season and thus had a private tour. There were school groups there the day we were there. Its well worth the time and price of admission.

It isn't at the original site. We were there late in the season when the historic enactors had left for the season but it was great. Great tour guide. Great history. It even acknowledge the role of Grand Portage in MN.

Totally enjoyed the hour and a half presentation by the docent. Enjoyed it so much that we plan on going back in July when the entire park is open and manned with re-enactors.

At least 2 to 3 hours. Take your time, enjoy the farm and aboriginal encampment. Many buildings and stories to be told by the actors.

Sometimes there are sponsored events outside the fort by the parking areas. I would check the event schedule to see what might be happening in July. Enjoy your visit!
