If you’re looking for a beautiful skyline view of Toronto, this is the place. Come here for sunrise and see the sun slowly rising and creating a gorgeous glow. It’s quite and ideal also for jogging.

This is the newest of Toronto's parks opened in 2017 and it is stunning. The unique element of this park is that it draws on the history and traditions of the First Nations people. The Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail is 7.5 acres of public green space on a spectacular part of Toronto’s waterfront. The Ravine is the gateway to the park, two beautiful stone walls connected by a bridge that frames your first glimpse of Lake Ontario. Developed in collaboration with the Mississauga's of the New Credit First Nation, the Ravine walls celebrate First Nations’ heritage and culture with the moccasin identifier engraved into the stone, a visual reminder to recognize and honor the past. A unique open-air pavilion is inspired by evergreen forests and the iconic structures of Ontario Place. It frames the Romantic Garden and provides a space for activities and gatherings. A gathering place around a fire pit is another outstanding idea. From the 'summit' of the park one gets one of the best views in the city— of the city. Located at the southern tip of the park, the summit is the highest elevation. It provides gentle slopes and lush rolling hills to sit on and look out to the lake. It’s definitely a place you’ll want to sit and relax and watch planes taking off from the Porter city airport. I just love this park.

Trillium Park and William Davis trail is an effort to revitalize Ontario Place . This is a beautiful part of the city by the waterfront .
As it is part of Ontario Place , the parking fee is steep. $3.25 per half hour. But we managed to find cheaper parking. Just drive to Coronation Park via Remembrance Drive. You can park along Remembrance Drive for $1 per half hour and daily maximum is only $8. What a deal in downtown Toronto.
At the entrance of the Park there are washrooms and water fountain. Washrooms are all wheelchair accessible and heated .
As we walk along the trail, we can see the Toronto skyline . And every now and then we could see Porter flights taking off over us.
The trail eventually took us to the iconic Ontario Place. We used to bring our kids to Ontario Place very often. We had so many happy memories. But now it is ashame to see Ontario Place so rundown and deserted with ripped Canadian flags flying on flagpoles.
Not much is happening there anymore except for wedding banquets and Cinesphere.
The city really need to invest and bring back a park where families can have fun and build their memories. Trillium Park takes the lead.
We need more of beautiful green space like Trillium Park in Downtown Toronto .

A nice place to spend a lazy afternoon strolling in this piece of green space by Ontario Place. The waterfront provides a skyline view of downtown Toronto.

This park according to the signs as been set up with the help of the 1st Nations people and it is a gorgeous area. Along the lake Shore Boulevard and the shores of Lake Ontario its so beautiful. As it was freezing and knee deep in snow on our visit the shore line was a showcase of frozen sculptures, trees, reeds etc all frozen. There is a Pavilion and the Inukshuk. It is well set out with loads of seating areas. You can see the Billy Bishop Airport and look back onto the Toronto skyline. Well sign posted and easy to wander around.

I really enjoy the time I spend in Trillium Park. It is a beautiful revitalization of Ontario Place. I am an avid walker and enjoy what the park has to offer, especially the opportunity to walk along the waterfront.
I discovered there are so many things to do - water activities rentals, free music in the park, catch a movie in the Cinesphere, skate outdoors, rent a Segway, free yoga classes in the pavilion, play life size chess, have a ping pong match and grab a bite to eat of drink at the Vista Eatery. There are many avid walkers like me, joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, families and couples. I also discovered it is a great place to watch the air show! I really enjoy the views from the waterfront - you can watch the planes came and go from the Porter Airport, beautiful city views including the CN Tower, watch the boats and the beautiful scenery offered by the park. The park also has park benches, picnic tables and Muskoka chairs throughout.
It's a great place to relax and get that cottage feel without leaving the city!

The view of the Toronto skyline is spectacular, and this would be an excellent place for a walk. As it happens, we were there for an outdoor performance of Rosalind, or As You Like It, by Driftwood Theatre. The play was well performed by eight young actors. Planes taking off from Billy Bishop Airport across the bay were a regular and noisy distraction, undermining the venue as a theatre.

We only had time for a very quick visit but we had read that this is a good place to get skyline views of Toronto. It looks like a lovely place for a walk and the views over the water with the skyline in the background were very beautiful. It is easy to get to as you drive out of Toronto so a good place for a quick stop before you start your journey.

Pleasant park under construction, but with an eccentric view of the Toronto skyline and the harbour.
