Linda and Susan, two delight residents of Ward’s Island, guide you through their charming and peaceful habitat with tales of local history, photos of the past, amusing anecdotes and even (in our case) a walk-on part by Six Paws, the local celebrity puss. This remarkable environment, just a short ferry crossing from downtown Toronto, is a time capsule gem, sadly threatened by rising lake waters. A perfect and memorable addition to your souvenirs of this vibrant city. Highly recommended.

You can't miss this opportunity! Two exceptional tour guides who have lived on Toronto Island for 30+ years, who share their wealth of knowledge, humour and anecdotal stories make this walking tour a truly memorable experience. Hard to believe that a tour of Toronto Island can be so much fun, informative, scenic and easy to do! This walking tour is a "must do" and at a reasonable cost!

This is a fabulous walking tour to add to your “must do” list. Locals and visitors to Toronto alike will enjoy the ferry ride to Ward’s Island to learn about this waterfront community – past and present. Linda ( a long-time island resident) was our guide. A wonderful storyteller, she had great anecdotes and pictures to share and was happy to answer any and all questions. It was a great tour and such a beautiful part of Toronto to experience.

Four of us (one from Toronto; three from out of town) took the tour in early June and really enjoyed it. Our guides, Linda and Susan, have an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the island, and their fascinating anecdotes were accompanied by great vintage photos. A real bonus was that they know virtually every resident of the island, and we got lots of tidbits about individual houses. I would highly recommend the tour.

I went on a Wards Island tour with my Union on a Friday morning. We were a group of 21 people. The tour was led by two long-time residents, Susan and Linda, who talked about the rich history of the Island while showing pictures. They also took us to various areas that are important for the people living on the Island. Furthermore, they answered questions that we had, such as the life on the Island. I would highly recommend this tour!
