A must go for beer lovers in Toronto
Oct. 2020
Quite a unique experience having the tour guide for myself and my wife only. The tour guide was exceptional, I just apologize I forgot her name. Afterwards, the beer and pretzel was delicious.

Jamar was entertaining and had answers to all of our questions. Also our waiter outside was amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name.

Great tour, great beer
Aug. 2020 • Couples
We went on the Steam Whistle Brewery tour with Jamar as our guide and had a great time. The way he explained everything and showed us around was amazing and the fact that he seemed very passionnate about the brewery just made things even greater. After the tour, we enjoyed great beer (I recommend the unfiltered) and all in all had a great experience!

Ask for Jamar & try the unfiltered!
Aug. 2020
It was our tour guide's (Jamar) first tour back since lockdown and it was amazing! We learned a lot about beer, about Toronto's history and by proxy Canada's, and about awesome decisions made by awesome people. Jamar was professional, knowledgeable, funny, and provided an experience I would quickly recommend to a friend, and easily enjoy again myself. Also must mention how smooth the unfiltered pilsner went down and how delicious the soft pretzel with cheese dip and mustard was. (As it must also be mentioned at this time, we felt completely safe on the COVID-19 front, as everything was thoroughly sanitized and all physical distancing recommendations were followed, throughout the tour and in the biergarten.)

Great locations, good beer, ordinary food.
Aug. 2020 • Family
My family and I ate and drank at this place and loved the location. We ordered a meal, and it was fine, but very boring. My fish and chips came on a grocery store hamburger bun with a slice of processed cheese. Fries were fine. The two orders of hotdogs with sauerkraut were fine, and came with a bit less than 1 cup of potato chips. The brautwurst also came only with chips.....can someone please serve a carrot stick or two? Lol
I kind of expected to see more effort in a ‘beer garden’, as I have been to lots of these around the province. They are usually pretty good at presenting great German food. (I.e. Amadeus in Kingston). This was definitely on the borderline of good to not so good.
The location, at the base of the CN Tower is great. It is iconic and we will come back for the ambience and a tour. Not so much for the food.

Hey, Thanks for the review much appreciated. I encourage you to give our food a second chance we clearly missed the mark. If you want to send me an email (Josh@steamwhistle.ca), I would be more than happy to have you back down so we can change your mind regarding the food (obviously once COVID is over). Interesting fact the hamburger bun you are referring to is called a "Martien Potato Roll", an extremely popular bun currently in a lot of restaurants because of its fresh, soft, and slightly sweet characteristics. It's also the bun used by chefs with award-winning hamburgers. https://potatorolls.com/products/sandwich-potato-rolls/

Quality product in nostalgic setting
Mar. 2020 • Friends
Will was the all star tour guide. He passionately explained the quality ingredients that go into Steam-whistle Pilsners, interacted with our group on a personal level and explained the history of the beautiful building that houses the brewery, restaurant and event hall.
Biggest bang for our buck so far in Toronto.
