Cool brewery in an old train roundhouse
We had a quick lunch here, and were glad we stopped. The beer was really good, and the atmosphere was bright and modern. We had the poutine (delicious) and meat/cheese board. Our front, there are several old trains that you can look at and enjoy.
Hi Lyndria, thanks for the great review and for stopping by the Biergarten. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your time here and we hope to see you back again soon!

    Great time in family
The Steam Whistle brewery us an excellent place to have a beer among friends. We went on a Sunday Morning and it was really pleasant. I had both – filtered and unfiltered beer and I really appreciated it. Unfortunately we were not able to go to the tour because it happens only on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Popular and busy
We were meeting an old friend who emigrated to Canada for a meal and this was suggested. Be aware of when there are local sports games on, as this is popular with fans before games. As a result they will time limit you as there will be people queuing to get in as we did for 15 minutes. Food is good and the beer excellent, so worth the wait.

    Excellent tour!
Seven of us took the brewery tour yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our tour guide, Kenny, was one of the best guides we have ever encountered. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, entertaining, and obviously loves his job and the brewery. The history of the building is very interesting and Kenny really brought it to life for us. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Oh yes - the beer was quite delicious as well!

    5* tour thanks to Kenny
Kenny our tour guide was an absolute joy. He was friendly and accommodating. He told the Steam Whistle story well and answered questions throughout the tour with a high level of knowledge about the brewery. He was also one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had, his charisma and passion made the tour experience unique.

Brewery tour of Steam Whistle professionally delivered 👍
Very informative and interesting tour of the Steam Whistle Brewery. Our tour guide Kenny was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very entertaining. Would definitely recommend the tour where you get to sample a bottle of lovely cold Steam Whistle pilsner, some malt and even some hops if you're crazy enough. First class.
Thanks for the review Derek, we hope to see you back again soon for a lovely cold Steam Whistle Pilsner. Cheers!

Kenny the Steam Whistle Tour Guide
If you’ve ever considered visiting Steam Whistle we highly recommend that you do! The beer is soooo cold and taking the tour Is a great experience. Our friends from the UK we’re visiting Canada for the first time and we chose to include the Steam Whistle Brewery on our itinerary of great places to visit! We signed up for the tour so our friends could hear firsthand the history of the brewery. They had so much fun!! Kenny was our tour guide! What a gem💎 Kenny is very knowledgeable of the history of the brewery and has a fun and informative way of sharing his knowledge. He’s outgoing, funny and is very skilled in engaging people! Kenny is a great Face for Steam Whistle and we hope that he continues to lead tours for a long time to come😀

    Whistle Stop Brewery Tour
Happened to just stumble upon this tour. The tour was fantastic, Kenny is the best part of the tour. Very knowledgeable, very passionate about the company and the beer. I could’ve spent a couple of hours if they let us listening to what he knew. Would do the tour again in a heart beat, and yes, the free beer was a bonus too.

3 of us went for lunch Sunday. Great menu and a wonderful assortment of drinks. Nice seating area. Located in the middle of the Roundhouse between the arcade and taproom.

The brewery tour was great fun. It was a little different to other brewery tours I've been on before, which only focused on the brewing part. This was a mix of how the beer is brewed, the history of the company, and the history of the building. All were equally interesting. We had a great guide who knew lots of fun facts.

My son and I booked a tour of the Steam Whistle brewery before heading to a Leafs game and it was a great decision! Our guide, Kenny, was so personable and entertaining, and walked us through the history of the company and the brewing process for their great tasting beer. You get a cold Steam Whistle beer for your tour, and I recommend coming a little earlier and having an 'unfiltered' pint to taste the difference. The tour really gave us a better appreciation of this true Canadian brand, and I highly recommend stopping in to say hi, have a pint and take a tour of the brewery in their historic home.

We arrived in the morning just after opening. We were warmly greeted by our waitress/server who promptly provided us with a menu, glass of water and lots of information about the beers on offer, she even gave us a taster of one we were interested in. It is in a great location near the CN tower and next to railway rolling stock to look at. The food menu was a little limited but the beer was good. Would recommend.

A couple of hours after arriving in Toronto for the first time, we found Steam Whistle Brewing, steps away from the CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium.
We visited in November. The patio is a “don’t miss” for dining alfresco in warmer months.
Housed in Roundhouse Park, a well preserved locomotive roundhouse, be sure to make a stop if the kids, or adults, are train enthusiasts. I’m not and I still thought the area was very cool to visit and enjoyed seeing the vintage trains.
Steam Whistle Kitchen serves-up a seasonal menu, we enjoyed the Roundhouse Burger and Butternut Squash (pasta) partnered with multiple glasses of their award-winning Pilsner, all good.
Our highlight was the staff. Our server, Cory P., went out of his way to welcome us to the city and recommend Toronto highlights. (Much appreciated for we first-timers). Cory was a great server and went above-and-beyond as a Toronto ambassador.

There is no choice of beer here. Filtered or unfiltered Pilsner. The beer was ok but a brewery usually has a lot many choices. No dark beer here. Very limited food menu. This one was not as expected. I have been on many brewery tours so skipped this one. The guide those was enthusiastic and made me want to join.
