- Shirley SLindsay, Canada5 contributionsKenny the Steam Whistle Tour GuideIf you’ve ever considered visiting Steam Whistle we highly recommend that you do! The beer is soooo cold and taking the tour Is a great experience. Our friends from the UK we’re visiting Canada for the first time and we chose to include the Steam Whistle Brewery on our itinerary of great places to visit! We signed up for the tour so our friends could hear firsthand the history of the brewery. They had so much fun!! Kenny was our tour guide! What a gem💎 Kenny is very knowledgeable of the history of the brewery and has a fun and informative way of sharing his knowledge. He’s outgoing, funny and is very skilled in engaging people! Kenny is a great Face for Steam Whistle and we hope that he continues to lead tours for a long time to come😀Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 15, 2023

I belly-laughed many times and along the way learned a lot about Steam Whistle Beer. I enjoyed the beer we drank on the tour too. Kenny is TOTALLY worth the tour - he is HILARIOUSVisited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten October 22, 2023
- Adrienne C1 contributionWhistle Stop Brewery TourHappened to just stumble upon this tour. The tour was fantastic, Kenny is the best part of the tour. Very knowledgeable, very passionate about the company and the beer. I could’ve spent a couple of hours if they let us listening to what he knew. Would do the tour again in a heart beat, and yes, the free beer was a bonus too.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten November 17, 2023
- EthanpooOttawa, Canada75 contributionsSteam Whistle Brewery Tour Is a Must Do!My son and I booked a tour of the Steam Whistle brewery before heading to a Leafs game and it was a great decision! Our guide, Kenny, was so personable and entertaining, and walked us through the history of the company and the brewing process for their great tasting beer. You get a cold Steam Whistle beer for your tour, and I recommend coming a little earlier and having an 'unfiltered' pint to taste the difference. The tour really gave us a better appreciation of this true Canadian brand, and I highly recommend stopping in to say hi, have a pint and take a tour of the brewery in their historic home.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten December 1, 2023
- Hayley RAuckland, New Zealand152 contributionsFun brewery tourThe brewery tour was great fun. It was a little different to other brewery tours I've been on before, which only focused on the brewing part. This was a mix of how the beer is brewed, the history of the company, and the history of the building. All were equally interesting. We had a great guide who knew lots of fun facts.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten January 3, 2024
- Jessica Lee1 contributionFun time! Steam whistle tour was a great addition to our time here!Very interesting tour! Our guide Kenny provided a detailed history of both the company and the building, added a touch of humor, and he gets you invested in the story, plus you get a free beer as you walk on the tour! Highly recommend 👌Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten March 9, 2024
- Kathy L90 contributionsHighly recommend. Must do.We had a great time on the 30 minute tour of the brewery. Kenny is absolutely the best storyteller and guide ever. Incredibly passionate and knowledgeable of the history and story of the brewery. He kept us entertained, laughing at the same time we were learning all about the brewery. Great tour for families with adult kids. So fun.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten March 31, 2024
- Enola4824 contributionsGreat tour! The tour was fascinating and Kenny was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We learnt about the brewing process, the history of the building, and of the 3 founders, while enjoying a bottle of their finest. Many great bottle facts included! Topped off with some time in the bar.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten April 5, 2024
- mark_johncock7 contributionsGreat fun, engaging and fact finding tourI am over from the UK and had done the Steam Whistle Tour before. However, Kenny was top level. Engaging, knowledgeable and made the whole tour really dynamic. We also got a bonus bottle of beer, with the tour, and got to sample some of the ingredients (one recommended, one less so!). I'm inbetween sightseeing stuff and, because of how good Kenny was, I've popped on to write a review. If you're in the area, and Kenny is hosting, do it. - Alexander CLomita, California22 contributionsBest Pilsner in Toronto!Because of the proximity to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, this brewery makes for an ideal visit for tourists. Situated where the old railroads used to run through Toronto, this quirky brewery has pizzaz. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, good beer including their award winning Pilsner, and even a classy Char dish prepared! My only gripe with this place is they don't offer flights. Would have loved to have tried more beers. They were nice enough to let me sample, but it's not the same as a flight. Still a worthy choice and not to miss.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten May 4, 2024

Jamar was our tour guide and he was wonderful. Informative, funny, perfect host for Steam Whistle Brewery! We live on the west coast of US and always stop at Steam Whistle for great Pilsner and a tour when we visit Toronto. Brought friends with us this time and they had a great time too! Steam Whistle Pilsner is the best and the brewery building is a very interesting and historical part of Toronto. I would recommend even if you do not drink beer to see the old roundhouse and learn about the beer making process.

In the middle of a snow storm my nephew suggested a tour and I was skeptical. I’m glad I went. Our tour guide Jamar was very knowledgeable about the history of Steam Whistle as well as the brewing process. The tour was fun and interesting - it’s great to see how successful this Canadian craft brewer has been. 2 large servings of Pilsner certainly also helped us forgot the storm brewing outside. Thanks Jamar!

Will was the all star tour guide. He passionately explained the quality ingredients that go into Steam-whistle Pilsners, interacted with our group on a personal level and explained the history of the beautiful building that houses the brewery, restaurant and event hall.
Biggest bang for our buck so far in Toronto.

Went to Steam Whistle with my friend on the 13th of January and was pleasantly surprised to be on a tour with just one couple and us. Our tour guide was fantastic. Jamar was knowledgeable, personable, and showed a real care for Steam Whistle as it sounded like it was a family affair (Sly & the Family Stone style). Got to know more about the brewery and its going on's than I have in four other outings on the tour - and given there is more opportunity for the tour guide to let a video do the talking (in part), it was great to have someone who felt like they had a bit of an inside tip and passion for the place. Jamar is a legend - and were it possible to vote for a PM of tour guides for Steam Whistle - he would get my vote. If you get a chance to have him give you a tour you are just about the luckiest group in all of Toronto. Thanks Jamar for making this the best tour I've been on by a country kilometer.

My wife and I stopped in here for the tour today. It was an informative and fun little walkthrough of this brewery. The tour is $12 and you get 2 beers during this 30 minute learning experience. Our tour guide Avery was fun and made this an enjoyable experience.

The brewery is in a reconstructed historic building in the heart of downtown Toronto. The pace of the tour is very relaxed; the tour itself lasts about 30-40 minutes - longer if you wish to linger in the restaurant/gift shop. Highly recommended.

We stopped in here on our way to a Blue Jays game for a quick snack/drink. My husband had a beer sampler and really enjoyed it (I'm not a beer drinker). The food is from a food truck parked at the brewery and it was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite. We'll definitely be back!!!

Firstly would like to say that our guide Jamar was brilliant! He was informative, funny and could answer all the questions.
We called in here when we had a free hour or so and just managed to get on a tour, it was really reasonable and included 2 beers. It was the best thing we did in Toronto and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.
I’m returning in the summer and will be sure to visit again with my brother and daughter! (I checked and under 18s can go and still think they’d enjoy the story)

Planning on taking a tour on a weds or Thursday. Do you recommend we buy tickets before hand? We have no specific time we want to go so I thought it may be easier just to show up and take the next available tour. There will be 2 of us.

Do you allow strollers or stroller parking? Or should we plan to carry the baby! Thanks
Written July 22, 2017
Hey! No problem leaving the stroller down in our store while on a tour. There is a few sets of stairs so you will need to carry the baby if you take the tour.
