Although we didn't get the chance to take their brewery tour -- we were able to stop in and sample a beer right before they closed. It has a lively & friendly atmosphere and when I'm back in the area -- I'd like to stop by again and take the tour!

Stumbled across this place on my way to the aquarium. There's loads of really big trains outside the place and that's what caught my attention. Myself and my boyfriend decided to have a look inside and we joined the tour through the brewery. The tour was fun, informative and we got to enjoy some beers throughout and after. Staff were... What a wonderful spot to drop in and sample a beer. Check out the historic roundhouse while you're there.

The added bonus is... More

The tour was really fun! My fiancee and I went while we were visiting Toronto. The tour guide (Esmee if I recall correctly) was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on how Steam Whistle beer is made. Of course we got to taste beer a couple of times, which tasted good! The aquarium is close by so... More

12 students from Greystone College's Customer Service diploma program had a great visit on Tuesday. Mathew was an amazing guide and we definitely had a customer experience rather than just customer service. We laughed, joked, listened, learned, and got good insight not just to the beer making process, but also the culture of care at SteamWhistle!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
