Definitely a must if you are visiting Toronto during the Summer months. The beer is cold and the welcome is warm. The tour around the distillery and offices is surprisingly open and interesting. It lasted for about 40 minutes and is definitely recommended if like us Europeans you're not familiar with the brand. Of course - as all good brewery... More

The tour itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but the beer is decent and the bar area is large. It's not something I would recommend during the winter, but DEFINITELY something I would recommend in the summer time, especially if you're a tourist. The brewery has a very nice patio at the back that features live bands (on weekends)... More

As there's not many places where you can get alcohol in Canada this maybe a welcome spot to enjoy cold beer in a friendly atmosphere on a hot day:)

Been here for a few parties and a few times in summer to sit on the patio. It's great people watching - especially after a jays game.

Do not miss this when you are in Toronto ! This is well with the price of admission...It as around 10 dollars when we went. The tour guides are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. At the end you get to drink a beer dated with the time you stood in front of the bottle machine! Yes it's cold very cold. It... More

Loved this - tour really interesting, loved the history of the building and the company and loved the company ethos. Lots of free samples of beer as well which was great and you don't have to wait until the end - free samples in the bar beforehand and then you get a bottle of beer to walk round with. Loved... Really had a great time here. Tour was great to learn about the history of how they came about. The beer we sampled was very fresh. I would recommend.

Friendly environment, good staff, nice to have a taste of Steam Whistle. Right beside the train museum at the round house. Both are worth a visit.

We came here around 4:45pm with hopes of catching the 5pm tour which was unfortunately full! There were a few other groups around us who had tried the same. The staff were such a laugh and the free sample beers were a great consolation! Eventually we struck gold and a guy offered to give us a quick tour, this turned... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
