My husband and I recently visited Lula’s while in Toronto for a couples getaway. We reserved a table for their Pre Fixe Dinner and Show package and absolutely enjoyed our time. The lesson was fun. The people we’re friendly. And while yes there are “ professionals” who have been going and dancing for quite some time showing off their moves, it did not intimidate us one bit to get out on the dance floor ourselves. And quite honestly we enjoyed watching the regulars while sitting down and catching our breath. Time honestly flew by! Our dinner reservation was for 7:30pm and next thing we knew it was 1am! We will definetly return!

Fabulous atmosphere - feels like you are in a latino club back in the 50's with dinner and dancing. Waiting for Ricky Ricardo to show up...... The food was extremely good. (Jerk chicken was yummy but pretty spicy, calamari were perfect, crab cake was delicious and desserts were a hit at our table. 8 people all enjoyed their meal. Salsa dance lesson was great. DJ music was fun; the 12 pc band was FANTASTIC! Dance floor very crowded. Would be nicer to have a bit of room to dance. All in all, a very fun, entertaining evening. Waiters Julio and Lulu were both terrific! Mostly filled with under 40 year olds, but any age fit in.

One of the most exciting places to visit to take in a live music event!
Did I mention that they offer one of the best Mojito's (aside from Cuba)
I'd never been to this lounge before; however, it was where they held
The Poetry & Jazz Event that was benefiting Fight For Freedom!
An emotional night b'cuz it truly was a life-changing experience for me!

Four of us attended an awesome concert buy Ray Montford. One of our party got a steak that was overcooked and couldn't eat it
Instead of offering to comp the meal which is what should have happened the manager Nicole argued with our party for about 10 minutes and finally she took this meal off the bill. The food is way overpriced and the service was terrible we waited 20 minutes after ordering our drinks before they came back to take our meal order.the concert was fantastic but unfortunately we will never go back to this restaurant.

Such a fun place. We had a good dinner. They have a beginner dance class first. Then a mix of DJ and a really good (and big) live band. Fun trying to salsa. Also liked they also play other types of dance music in between. Would be a lot of fun with a group!

Lula Lounge is fabulous. I have been to Salsa Saturday twice recently, once with my husband for birthday dinner and dancing, and once with my girlfriends for a fun night out. I had an amazing time both times! Such fantastic music; dancing to their live bands is such a treat and so much fun. The staff at Lula are wonderful, always working hard to make sure everyone has a good time. I want to especially mention Sara and Melany in the coat check who were lovely and very helpful, and kept our stuff safe and secure so we could dance and not worry about anything! The wait staff and bartenders are also super, and their margaritas are my favourite in the city! My ONLY criticism is that the break between band sets feels very long, although the DJ certainly kept us all dancing during that time.
I definitely recommend Lula Lounge for a great night out! :-)

Amazing ambiance, excellent music (great sound system) lovely servers. Went for Valentine's Day and couldn't ask for a more romantic setting.

The prix fixe menu was $60 per person plus drinks, which you pay in advance.

The drink special my wife ordered was a French martini which was excellent. I ordered a Mojito which was not great. No balance to the flavours, just rum taste. Shouldn't this be a signature drink given the venue's theme?

Aside from the chips and dip (lovely house-made salsa, guac and bean dip) the rest of the meal was extremely disappointing. Though jerk chicken appeared on the menu, the kitchen sent word they were out of chicken. On Valentine's Day you're not fully stocked?

We opted for the salmon instead (the beef option was an additional $11!). It was undercooked and rubbery. Side veggies were passable, rice not very warm. Neither my wife nor I finished our meal.

We had selected the espresso chocolate cake for dessert. It was very basic, and went unfinished as well.

For such an interesting and attractive venue (even the washrooms were nice - yes, decent washrooms south of Bloor!) I can't fathom why you wouldn't put together a better dining experience. In total, this was a $200 bill. I can think of many amazing meals to be had in Toronto for that amount.

I would visit again for a concert but not to eat. With such a gem of a setting, I hope they improve the kitchen offerings and do it right.

If your visiting TORONTO and looking for a great night of food and live entertainment check out Lula Lounge. Check out who is playing and reserve a seat for a great meal and be ready for a night of dining and dancing. A group of 8 of us just spent a great evening at Lula Lounge listening to ‘At Last’ at tribute to Etta James. Other nights arrive early for some dance lessons then dance the night away to Latin rhythms. Fun and affordable

Fantastic bands, entertainers. Very busy but with a grand atmosphere. The cocktails were really good. Wonderful tapas and meat dishes. The dancing I will remember the most. Dancing to live music among others. Fantastic.
