I've visited High Park on several occasions and different seasons and each time I find it just as beautiful. It's great for picnics, seeing the cherry blossoms, visiting the petting zoo, fishing, walking or juts laying on the grass overlooking the flowered giant maple leaf and the river. There are some nice pubs around the area on the Bloor side... More

Toronto's biggest green space in downtown it spans a sprawling 400 acres. It includes a rose garden, a petting zoo, sport fields, a public pool, skating rinnk, and lots of picnic areas. Great for a jog a hike or just lounging in the sun. A lovely cafe sits pretty much centre, The Grenadier, serving light lunches and beverages. Its a... More

High park is beautiful and excellent for walking. We went there specifically to fish and we caught bass in Grenadier Pond. Parking is free and the grounds are very well kept.

High Park is Toronto's largest park in the old city, and it plays host to many of the most iconic Toronto moments. In the winter, there is skating on Grenadier Pond - a massive expanse of civic joy. In the spring, there is the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival, which is beautiful madness. The summer hosts the outdoor Dream in High... More

Great place for a walk for you and your dog. Nice quiet park within the city limits. Don't purchase food from vendors in the park unless you like to be ripped off.

Had a great day with family and friends. Petting zoo is a hit with the kids. Must visit during cherry blossom season. Great atmosphere!

There is so much to do outdoors here and parking is free. The children's petting zoo is great even if you don't have kids! Everyone can hold the various animals and you can buy little packets of feed for a nominal amount. Although everything is free a donation is welcomed as it helps to keep the place running. There is... More

Beautifully maintained. Nice and relaxing spot for a walk, bike or picnic. The entire park is a fantastic place for photographs, and would make a great venue for engagement or wedding shoots. I absolutely LOVE the zoo. The animals seem to be well taken care of and the staff that I've seen there really love working with the animals.

Good for a stroll, cycling or just sitting down and reading. Has a small zoo for entertaining the kids as well. Restaurant available for meals, coffee, tea, etc.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
