Lovely quiet park just a short subway ride away from the city centre. We had a lovely walk around the park, past the Hillside Gardens, lake, duck ponds & animal enclosures. We enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife including chipmonks & some huge butterflies, & rounded it off with an ice cream at the Grenadier Restaurant.

Great local park. I visited during the winter, so the park was lightly covered with snow, which added beauty. There were people playing ice hockey. Great scene.

I stopped by this park & it was very nice! Family friendly... nice place to purchase food, play on the playgrounds, walk around, swim... I would recommend this place to come, relax and play

Probably one of the most iconic parks in Toronto. High park is a beautiful place to go with family and friends to have a nice picnic.

What a beautiful park in the fall with the trees changing colours. The zoo was so cute, we saw a cababara, peacocks, emus, bisons, goats, lamas, among others. It took us a fair amount of wandering around to find it, there were no signs anywhere! I had heard that police were giving out tickets to bikers, which I thought odd, until we visited the park for the first time and many latex clad individuals raced past us going VERY fast. So many little kids tottering about, I’m surprised there not been more accidents. The bathroom were kinda gross too, but at least they were not locked.

Spent a morning with friends and kids whilst visiting Toronto and the Adventure Playground was well worth the tram and bus ride to get there as kept the kids entertained for hours!

Massive park with tons of things to do. Grenadier Pond is a must-see, very tranquil and serene. The best time to come is around April so you see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Great transport connections to the north, east, and south, and even a little trackless trolley that kids will love.

What a massavie park. There is so much to do and see here. Loved seeing the Maple leaf out of flowers, they had a nice zoo and loved seeing all the dogs running free in the area. This park has so much to offer!

nice for a day trip and walk-through. Huge location though so wear comfy walking shoes. Many things to see including the trees, ponds and more.

It is really a large park... at some point, I got completely lost and had to use Google Maps to find the exit :-)
I could not cover it complete, although I was there a couple of hours.
But the parts I have seen were bautiful landscapes. I went through some woods, a residential zone in the border, a pond and lots of grass areas.
It seems an ideal place to have a long walk (or jog)

Does anyone know if the washrooms have reopened? Planning on going tomorrow June 6 2020.
What is the best entrance just to stroll a little around the park?

I guess the best entrance is the Colborne Lodge Dr (crossing High Park Av/Bloor st W) walkind down to the Queensway, nearby Lake Shore Blvd.

The pool is free ! Goof for fun dipping, but not for serious swimmers! It can be busy!
Are there bike racks so I can ride to the park and then lock my bicycle up safely while I visit the park?
Christopher F
Toronto, Canada9 contributions
Yes there are bike racks in High Park. Cycling is easy in High Park and you will be able to cycle comfortably between May to November. One can cycle in winter in High Park, but when it is -15C you will need to be dressed for the bone chilling temperatures and the snow.

There are a few but not many yet probably due to long warm summer and still hasn't gotten too cold.
I live across from Park so I go by it everyday.
Is it possible to do fishing there? my kids love it.

What is the best week to see cherry blossoms?
Pradnaya
Toronto, Canada113 contributions
Late April or early may are probably your best bets for seeing the cherry blossoms!!
btw most of the cheery tress are around hillside gardens and around duck pond.
Highly recommend going to check them out as they’re super beautiful!
