When I was young this was a great place to wonder about. It had nice places to hang out, eat and catch a movie. Now, if you’re not into high end shopping or restaurants it doesn’t have much to offer I think. Everything in this city is about generating revenue and if you’re not dropping a pile of money here don’t expect much. The ROM is still good. Nice collection but the entry fee is not cheap. It might actually be the least expensive thing to do here. Check that out.

One of the best places for high end shopping is Bloor Street. Major stores, such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Hermes, Cartier, and Prada to name a few you will find in this street. Excellent customer service, great shopping and hotels nearby, this is the place to be if you want to experience top notch service. It is in an open area, so be mindful of the weahter conditions that you might have to deal with during the winter.

It may be compared with the New York 5th Av. All the luxury brands are here. On sundays it is closed for cars and you can walk right in middle of it, cool thing tô do. Lots of groceries as well are available. The museums are something amazing also, ir foi have a chance even a quick tour would be interesting. Nice street.

The west side of the Bloor Annex (Spadina- just past Bathurst) is full of unique places to get a great meal at a decent price. The university students keep prices fair and the atmosphere energetic. There is a variety of menus from all over the world - from Sushi to the standard brunch.
There are lots of stores where you can seek a bargain and during the summer you can haggle with street vendors selling crafts, clothes and jewelry. Stay away from "Honest Ed's" at the corner of Bathurst... she ain't what she used to be.
On the east side of the Bloor Annex (Yonge St though Spadina), you'll find a shopper's paradise. Stores line much of the way to University Avenue and there are even underground stores that follow along part of Bloor (HMV, Gap, Salons, etc). Everything you could imagine is along the strip, including the Bata Show Museum and the ROM.

The location is convenient with parking, and has the best stores nearby on Bloor St W. We have stayed in Yorkville several times and always enjoy our stay!

We were introduced to this amazing venue via a free ticket promo to preview a CBC DOCS special on Pugs. We came in from Whitby by GO and TTC and made a great day of the event. Lovely theatre, great friendly staff, awesome location in the Annex. We're now going to be keeping our eyes open to see what else is showing there to get back in and enjoy!

I lived at One Bedford Place for several years before recently moving out. The entire Annex area is a pleasant, leafy neighbourhood of Victorian houses and a growing number of high-rise upscale condo buildings. The commercial streets -- mainly Bloor, Spadina and Bathurst -- offer a wide variety of stores, hotels, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. The east end, closer to Avenue Road is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in the city. As you move west toward Bathurst, the socio-economic level falls along with the rents, and costs of whatever you need to purchase. The west end if demographically mixed. The east is white-bread vanilla all the way. Generally safe and a nice area to visit and/or live.
