I feel a little embarassed by Edwards Gardens because they are waiting for Toronto Botanical Garden to fix the broken patio, bridge, and other crumbling areas when they have money. Toronto Botanical Gardens fought for management control of this place, and got it in 2018, and then first thing they did (after making their vision plan) was to charge parking fees. I think Rupert Edwards would turn in his grave if he knew, because he sold it to Metro Parks on the condition that there would never be any fees charged to enter his former estate. I'm so disappointed in the city's decision to allow the TBG to do this to the public. Otherwise, this is a beautiful park, full of memories for me and my family and friends, I go there almost every week in every season to walk.

Parking is cheap ($2.50 per hour at the Toronto Botanical Gardens), and admission is free as it is an open park. Good for taking a walk or bike riding. Not much to see though.

Started walking here last year and now live it. Lots of different trails and you will always find something new everytime. Love walking in every season. Just that the place gets super crowded when the weather is good.

Many a times during the pandemic we escaped to this beautiful space! It is not that close to us but it was worth spending the time to get there. Everything is opened up and we tend to less frequent them. Just went back for a visit and it is jsut as charming with many flowers in bloom.
Some of the paths blocked during the pandemic are now open providing further trolling options. A place to sooth your soul !

Ok for a nice short walk if you want to see flowers. Fairly popular for wedding pictures and slightly crowded on the weekends. Nothing special but it’s a good way to pass an hour.

A beautiful garden oasis, right in the middle of the city! We had our engagement photos taken here and it was a wonderful experience. The different river, garden, and woodland landscapes were so fun to take and it was a great nature escape. Would recommend!

We had a great time at Edwards Gardens! No clue what the "American" (Terruble) is talking about...no surprise there, Jealousy!?!?!?! Edwards Gardens has been photographed many, many times. It is a place where many couples take their wedding photos at, and where many many people take in nature. It really is something that you must see when you're in the neighbourhood. Ask any Canadian in Toronto or in the neighbouring areas about Gardens, and most will certainly say you must see Edwards Gardens. There is plenty of greenery and ponds and paths that lead you to a variety of flowers and even natural habitants of the garden.

Living in such a cold country, by April you start waiting for spring to come soon. And This garden is in the city which will give you a beautiful spring experience.
- Entry is free for this park
- And I always find parking space in spring
- Lots of tulips and new blooms
- It has a very big park inside too

It was terrible. There was garbage everywhere and the flowers were not even nice. I would never have gone if I had known the place was so crummy.

I took visitors here and it was very disappointing. Pathways closed and I guess its going to undergo a transformation in the next while. One area of annuals was good but not worth my travel time to take guests there from out of town.

What are the hours like and will they be open all week and weekend? Excluding the Civic Holiday on Monday?
Thanks.

They are open early in the morning to early evening. A stroll through the garden may be possible at all hours but after dark the walking can be treacherous on some paths and should be avoided. The garden can not be appreciated after dark anyway. The restaurant is not open very late maybe till 8 pm and only May through September I think.

I read that there's a corpse flower blooming in the greenhouse - is it possible to view it? What are the hours of the greenhouse?

The best thing to do is to call them. I do not know the answer

Free to enjoy the gardens, but there is a time-based self-pay parking fee that supports the Gardens. I don't recall that it is expensive.

Are group picnics of 30 people allowed? Are there picnic tables?
Written June 25, 2018
I haven't seen why this is an issue. It is a public park afterall.
Last time i was here I definitely saw benches, as there are a few spots to eat
