Canada's majestic castle and Toronto’s premier historic attraction. In 1911, Sir Henry Pellatt engaged noted architect E.J. Lennox to help him realize a lifelong dream, the creation of an Edwardian castle on the top of a hill overlooking Toronto. It took 300 men nearly three years to complete the nearly to 200,000 square foot castle at a cost $3,500,000 (at the time). Situated on 5 acres, Casa Loma was the largest private residence in Canada. Sir Henry Pellatt with his wife Lady Mary enjoyed Casa Loma for less than ten years before financial misfortune forced him to abandon his home. The tour of the castle is self-guided. Visitors can experience the castle at their leisure with the aid of multimedia audio guides.

The guy who built this was obviously very rich, not afraid to show it and probably a half bubble off of plumb. From the underground tunnels between buildings, hidden passageways turrets for defense and other interesting details, Casa Loma is an interesting look into the...More

The views from the towers at Casa Loma make the whole trip worth it. This castle has been well maintained and worth the visit in the summer.

This was a regular annual visit while growing up. My husband and I had our first date their July 1966 and danced on the balcony under a full moon. A beautiful place to visit for anyone visiting Toronto

What an amazing place to visit! Should not be missed! The grounds, rooms and furniture were breathtaking! I would have liked a guided tour, rather than listening to a taped recording. Nice gift shop and great place to take pictures on the grounds!!!

This was part of the CityPass which was the only reason we visited. CityPass walk up to the entrance and skip the line. It's really just a big old house on a hill that you walk through. There is not much to do here and...More

It's a good museum but parking is scarce and crowded. The museum is in a residential area and parking lots compete with virtually everywhere. After driving around several times we parked almost a mile away. After paying admission the inside was a zoo. They have...More

Nieces wedding . Amazing in all aspects. Food, venue and staff. They took time to make special dishes for my daughter with food allergies.

First touristic spot in Toronto with my city pass. It wasn't hard to redeem and I decided not to get the audio guide (the visit would've dragged on). The castle itself is huge and has a beautiful outdoor area. Many rooms were preserved so you...More

Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its
most stylish high-rise residences and heritage
buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden
arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel
from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of
the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools,
jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill
Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and

Parking is available right on site for a flat fee. It is a very short walk to the main door.
