Canada's majestic castle and Toronto’s premier historic attraction. In 1911, Sir Henry Pellatt engaged noted architect E.J. Lennox to help him realize a lifelong dream, the creation of an Edwardian castle on the top of a hill overlooking Toronto. It took 300 men nearly three years to complete the nearly to 200,000 square foot castle at a cost $3,500,000 (at the time). Situated on 5 acres, Casa Loma was the largest private residence in Canada. Sir Henry Pellatt with his wife Lady Mary enjoyed Casa Loma for less than ten years before financial misfortune forced him to abandon his home. The tour of the castle is self-guided. Visitors can experience the castle at their leisure with the aid of multimedia audio guides.

OMG!! This place was one of the main places I wanted to visit during my stay and I'm so glad I went. With my middle name being King, I always wanted to live in a castle lol. But anyway this place have over 50+ bedrooms,...More

Yes it's a castle and the history behind it is interesting. Views of the city are phenomenal. Our favorite part was the tunnel that connected the castle a with the stables. We spent a little over an hour there and yes I would recommend going...More

Casa Loma is quite impressive, however the story of its original owner is tragic. There's a lot of walking and steps involved, so wear comfortable shoes. They offer an audio tour of the home, but the line is long and slow to receive the audio...More

This was a real surprise. Very beautiful; self guided audio. You could zip through or take a couple hours. You can order drinks or a meal. Buy your entrance ticket at your hotel; no waiting in line and it is half the price.

Gorgeous castle in downtown Toronto. You can get headphones for an audio tour or take a map and walk around on your own. I prefer walking at my own pace. It felt as if the folks on the audio tour were rushing. Plan a couple...More

Casa Loma is a beautiful building that you could spent half or even whole day in it. Just looking all the rooms, pictures and discovering the property itself listening to the recorded guide. Everything is very well maintained and organised.

Really enjoyed our time looking around the castle. Great views of the downtown skyline from the roof. If there had been a guided tour, the experience would have been a bit better. Wasn't always sure what we were looking at.

Is very to easy to get there by subway and the line is very fast. If you want you can pick up an audio guide to visit the place and I think it will turn everything nicer. It was a good surprise till for the...More

Boring. Not given any brochure on the castle on this self-guided tour--only a map. Very few employees present and didn't seem interested. There weren't enough free audio headsets for everyone and it necessitated waiting for others to return theirs--unlike at Alcatraz tour where they clearly...More

Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its
most stylish high-rise residences and heritage
buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden
arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel
from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of
the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools,
jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill
Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and

Parking is available right on site for a flat fee. It is a very short walk to the main door.
