This year is my 3rd year visiting the Elmwood spa. The layout is very nice and the change rooms as well. Each with a hot tub in the middle, and employees there to assist you with getting a robe and flip flops. They have a variety of services offered I usually do a massage, facial and mani pedi, and lunch... More

My birthday tradition is to visit a spa (previously includes Ritz Carlton and Hazelton Hotel). I had heard so much about Elmwood I thought I'd give it a try this year. What a disappointment. When I first arrived on the main floor I was told to fill out my info on a tablet. (This is the first spa I've visited... More

Went here last year with my 2 of my girl friends for a spa day and now we've made it an annual tradition to come back every spring! It was a great experience starting with water therapies, then we each had our own massages, took a break at the juice bar, enjoyed pedicures together and lunch at the Terrace Garden... More

I have to say i was not too impressed. It's been awhile since i have been there and i was quite disappointed with the service. I booked this for my daughter's first spa treatment on her actual birthday. I asked if her lunch would be complimentary since it was her birthday and i was told no. Not even given a... More

Elmwood spa is a favourite of mine. I frequented the spa more a couple years ago but have been really busy these days. For the cost of the facial, you do get a good deal considering the amenities provided ( sauna, pool, whirlpool). The pool area is really nice... there is a whirlpool there and a sauna as well. If... I have been going to Elmwood Spa for a few years now. That's the only place I will go to get my eyebrows threaded. I have been seeing Fariba for my eyebrows for years now and everytime, I have always been happy with her work and expertise. I would never let anyone else touch my eyebrows except her. She is... It was the worse message ever. Very expensive and when emailed to infrom the response was cold and no offer of reinbursing or offering to have a message by another professional.

My friend and I recently had a spa day at the Elmwood for her birthday. She had facial which she loved and a manicure which i think she was satisfied with. I had deep tissue massage and a pedicure. The massage was okay but i think the pedicure could have been better. I wasn't impressed with the limited selection of... More

We have visited other, fancier spas (e.g. Las Vegas), but this is where we go when in Toronto. The quiet atmosphere is so relaxing. We had a couples massage in the fireplace room: SO relaxing. The massage therapists were professional. All staff were helpful. We will be back!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
