Stunning theatres beautifully restored to their glory. Don't miss the chance to ride the original elevators, lovingly had operated by a volunteer decked out in period attire.

We came for a screening during TIFF and sat in the Winter theatre. The theatre was very pretty and has many seats. Also, I am not sure how it is outside of TIFF screenings, but for that, there was plenty of friendly staff around to...More

The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres are two places of shows, movies and theatres located at Yonge Street. I was there visiting during the TIFF 2017.

Both theatres are perfect, with confortable seating, good sound, and lovely/kitch decorations. Use the elevators to avoid the steep stairs

Toronto may be a city of neighbourhoods, but it is also a city of theatre, and those who miss out on seeing a show or two, would miss one of the better parts of the city. The interior of this theatre alone makes this a...More

I've seen many shows at The Elgin...it is a gorgeous theatre and I would give it four stars...but when you add the (five star) Winter Garden...it really is a marvel of architecture. I saw Michael Buble as a kid in Forever Swing about six times...More

Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
