Excellent tour, we had so much food to eat. Great history of the Market and surrounding area. Ian, our Tour Guide was exceptional, especially since I have food allergies. I am lactose intolerant, and allergic to walnuts. He made sure I had no food with these ingredients!

Thanks so much for the 5-star review. Ian is a great guide, so focused, passionate and easy going. Glad you enjoyed all the food, if we know about allergies in advance we can normally navigate around them. Glad we made the tour a delicious one for you! More

Had a great experience... at first I thought it was a bit pricey but by the end of the tour, I was stuffed and realized it was actually very good value! Our guide was Wesley and he did a great job!

Marc - thanks for the note. We're glad you enjoyed our Chinatown + Kensington Market Food Tour with Wellesley. He's always a blast. Thank you for mentioning the value of our ticket. We are a premium company and we're proud of that. As foodservice/restaurant professionals ourselves, we know how important it is we pay our vendors and partners full-price for... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my culinary adventure through St Lawrence Market and the fascinating history of the market and its surrounding area. I highly recommend this tour as an introduction to the food influences of Toronto's history and the history of these markets.

I recently joined some friends for a birthday celebration tour of Riverside/Leslieville with Culinary Adventure Co. - what a great time! Not only was Kevin a wonderful tour guide, with great historical tidbits about these neighbourhoods, but the food was amazing! We walked, we ate, we laughed and every one of us ended the day by chatting about which tour... More

I totally recommend Culinary Adventure Co Tours, they are incredibly good. I experienced the St Lawrence Market & Old Town Food Tour a few days ago and it was excellent. Ian, the local guide, was fantastic and the food was very delicious. I learned a lot about the local history and culture while having a great time. I feel that... More

As a Torontonian I would highly recommend this tour to visitors and any Toronto residents that want to know more about the history and the amazing foods this city has to offer. The tour was very informative and done with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Thanks for a great day. A five star all the way,

We did the Riverside and Leslieville tour for my sister's bachelorette. It was excellent. There was a good mixture of history of the area, as well the purpose behind some of the places we visited. There was a variety of food and everyone had a good time. Ian was very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. I would recommend this... More

A present from my husband (and I live on the other side of town!), the Riverside Leslieville food tour was a great experience. Learned about the history, but most impressed with the uniqueness of each chosen spot to taste and savour. We were 18 (!)but our guide Ian managed wonderfully. Will definitely recommend!

First, let us say that this was more food to taste than any other food tour we've been on in North America. We met our guide outside the market and after croissants and coffee, we took a 45 minute walking tour of Old Town Toronto. This is an easy walk, no hills, nice pace, lots of stops to talk about... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
