Max 10 people . But we were only 3 , so it was indeed VIP. Tour of the market with morning coffee and croissant followed by some local Toronto history. Then back into the Market with many tastings. enjoyable way to spend two hours. It's a little pricy at over $90 incl. taxes per person. But, hey if you can... More

We had guide Ian (former local restauranteur) take us through the streets of Old Town explaining and pointing out some very interesting Toronto history and architectural sites, and then lead us back into St. Lawrence Market for a wide sampling of fresh foods. He was an amazing guide, full of knowledge, very personable, and connected (seemingly) to restaurants and attractions... More

This was by far an excellent Toronto experience. Our tour guide Ian was so knowledgeable and an awesome host. The walking portion of the tour was wonderful and we really learned about the history and cool facts that you wouldn't hear everywhere. Also the food you eat on the tour is delicious. The tour guide will tell you, you won't... More

Had a fun tour of Leslieville with friends. 12 people in all in our group which is a good number as we went in and out of several small restaurants and shops. We had, among others, everything from shortbread to ice cream, middle eastern food to smoked salmon and peameal bacon sandwiches to wine. All of it was delicious. Our... More

We had a very nice time with Ian and did a mid-day brunch tour. I felt the food we did was very nice and was a great representation of the area. The only thing I would say at $99/person it was priced a little steeper than some food tours I've been on. We had a group of 9 people and... More

We had such a great time touring the market and surrounding area. Ian took very good care of us and was clearly very knowledgeable. My husband and I live in Toronto and yet we learned my things about our history thanks to Ian. While we have been to the market many times over the years it was fun to try... More

Had a private unique experience with the Cheese and Cheers adventure with Culinary Adventure Co. The experience was personalized for our group and contained high quality products and Kevin was an extremely knowledgable experience leader. I would HIGHLY recommend Culinary Adventure Co. This was our second event and we are signing up for more!

We really enjoyed the tour of Kensington Market and Chinatown. We live in Toronto and it was a great way to learn more about the neighborhoods and to find some new places to eat that we'll definitely want to go back to.

Let me start by saying that I didn't know that Prince Edward County had so many amazing wineries! But thanks to the Culinary Adventure Company my wife and I were able to discover some incredible vineyards and bottles of wine. This is a full day tour with plenty of food and wine to keep any person happy. The day starts... More

We so enjoyed this experience walking through old town and learning about the history and stories that have shaped Toronto. Ian was an excellent guide and offered great information which made for an interesting and memorable time. Great tastes of the market. They make sure you sample a number of vendors, from appetizers to dessert. We were almost too full... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
