Fun & interesting way to explore Toronto on foot!

Fun tour! I'm spelling his name wrong - but Gotham was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable, personable and interesting. It was a very nice evening & the walk was extremely enjoyable. We were surprised that our group was so small & wasn't cancelled. We learned a lot of history (some haunted & some not) about Toronto. As for scare factor - only rating a 2, but gave it a 4 overall because of our guide & information.

Lots of great history told through fun stories amid beautiful architecture.

Tori was great in explaining the macabre and the unusual history in one part of Toronto - the area was contained enough to not have to rush place to place and accommodated a wide range of paces. Great history told in an interesting format, what’s not to love. Tori also made sure everyone in the group could hear her.

Haunted history amongst beautiful buildings

Entertaining and Informative Ghost Tour

Jack was awesome on this tour last night. He was very knowledgeable, charismatic, animated, and entertaining in telling the stories. A fantastic storyteller. Got to learn a bit about the history of Toronto along the way as well.

Cute tour, fun stories

Cute tour with fun stories. Our guide Zack was personable and friendly. He gave great directions for us to get back too!! We did the 8pm tour, the area really shuts down between 7-8 so if you are hanging for the 9pm your waiting options will be very limited. As tourists we really weren’t aware of that. But it also means you aren’t fighting w crowds to go along your route or hear your guide.

Landmarks in the dark

Lauren (the tour guide) was very enthusiastic, helpful, and passionate during the course of the tour. It was also pleasant to see famous historical landmarks simultaneous to the apprehension of scary ghost stories! This was a great experience overall

Lauren is the Best Guide!

Last night a large group of us went to the Black Creek Pioneer Village Haunted Walk and IT WAS AWESOME! Lauren is a phenomenal guide, enlightening us with chilling tales of the past while guiding us through the present. Lauren is a brilliant story teller, captivating in their approach, adding humour and gravitas to the stories. They had us on tender hooks as we walked throughout all of the old buildings! This was an amazing experience that myself and 19 other adults did for my birthday. Definitely a unique, active experiences I won't soon forget! Honestly, it was so wonderful and the best way to spend a night, being educated AND scared with friends! Thanks Lauren!

Great Guide, Good Tour!

We really enjoyed our ghost tour! It was a rainy night, which made it a bit more of a hassle walking through the streets of Toronto, but it was still great. I was hoping for more scares/scary stories, but the guide shared a lot of interesting stories about the locations and about Toronto.

I am updating my review here as I am unable to find a way to update my review. I was contacted by the Creative Director of the Seance and he clarified that the man in the black cloak, with the ear-piece would have been from a different event that is hosted at Pioneer Village. He agreed that this was not acceptable and would have it addressed. All in all outside of my expectations being set very high on the scary factor (someone had reviewed the experience as being 100/10 on the scary scale), I did have a fun time. I personally just didn't find it very scary.

I had an amazing time when I went.. just check out my review! I dont know about people in cloaks with ear pieces but the guide I had didnt have one, that I know for sure. Im a skeptic, so I was looking out for everything..If I had to put my money on it Id say the man you saw was running a room escape event... the groups from that did get in the way while going to the house. Also its a psychological experience, not your normal jump scare SCREAMERS event so maybe it wasnt quite what you were expecting?

Hi Karen, The Seance at Black Creek is primarily a psychologically thrilling experience. It's not like a haunted house, with actors waiting to jump out at you. You'll start the evening with a short tour of the village with one of our Haunted Walk guides before being introduced to Jaymes White and the house where the Seance will take place. The experience includes a number of techniques used in a Victorian-style Seance, as well as the chance to explore and get to know the building.

Hi Eddie, All of our tours are great for kids 12 and up. We have had some spooky things happen on our tours at Black Creek Pioneer Village, as we go inside several buildings along the route, so that tour is best for older kids. Along with our ghost tours, we also offer the Time Travel Trail Adventure! Your guide is a time traveler taking you back to the wackiest parts of Toronto's past. It's a very interactive tour, including things like fighting a duel with Nerf guns, making it a great option as well for kids. Hope to see you soon!

Hi Ellbee315! Our Original Haunted Walk takes place in the centre of the city, stopping outside different locations to share their ghost stories and darker history. Because we're on foot, we're able to be more in-depth at our story stops. Our guides often add extra tidbits or short stories about spots along the walks between the main ghost stories. Our tours take about 90 minutes, leaving time for other great attractions or activities in the city.

Hi Nancy, Our ticket sales team arrive 30 minutes before the tour from the tour start location. We sell any tickets we still have available for the tour, and are able to take cash. If you want to ensure you get spots on the tour, but want to pay cash, you can also visit our administrative office at 305A - 56 The Esplanade from Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm.
