Steven is full of information on history and culture as we hit up some of the best places in Toronto to eat. I love how it is planned to start with some breakfast food/drinks and end on a... More

My husband and I went on the 501 Streetcar Food Tour, and it was incredible! We met Steven, our amazing tour guide, and head Foodie. Our group was a mix of locals and tourists, and we had a blast as we ate our way across Queen Street. Steven was an entertaining host as he educated us on the food that... More

Private event with friends/coworkers . 4th year spending the day with Steven guiding us through the best of Toronto. For some of the group it was a first Foodies tour. A great day spent with a wonderful group of friends, yummy food and to top it off the weather was fabulous. Steven is a wonderful host!

A fun range of street food. Generous portions. Good value for the money And fun to do it in a hop on and hop-off way using the streetcar!

We had a staff outing with Foodies on Foot - 20+ people had a great afternoon. We sampled yummy eateries and had a very informative curated tour with Stephen Hellmann of Graffiti Alley. Stephen is a very personable and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended - we would do it again!

This was my second tour with Foodies on Foot and it was excellent. Talia did a great job of selecting a good variety of locations to visit - the food samples were delicious (and generous portions). Talia was very willing to share her broad knowledge and tips - nutrition, recipes, new ingredients to consider, restaurants to visit, etc. And, we... More

We did our first "Foodies on Foot" tour on Sunday. It will not be our last. Our guide Cas, was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, and obviously has a passion for what she does. The food was great and we will certainly revisit the stops. On the last of six stops we had to take a doggie bag.

On June 4, 2016 we took the Foodies On Foot 501 Streetcar Food Tour. The tour included six stops at various eateries. Our amazing tour guide Kaz (Caslon) took us to a doughnut shop, a venue that specializes in all kinds of different sausages with a huge list of beers, an Asian sandwich shop, a great neighbourhood coffee shop, a... The tour was spectacular, and everything we could have wished for! The food was great, we were constantly eating, and it was a very fun time. The leaders of the tour were very personable, considerate, and really took the time to teach us about food. They answered any questions we had, and overall, it was amazing! TOTALLY worth the money... Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
