Good, but I wouldn't call it a "spa"

The massage was fine, however the massage therapist made, in my opinion, rude and unwelcome comments about my body. The facial I had was fine as well, but nothing fancy and I had... read more

My husband and I booked a getaway night in Toronto that included a hotel stay and morning massage. I specifically chose the Sheraton so we would have easy access to the spa. As we approached the spa, my phone started ringing...it was the spa. TWO MINUTES BEFORE OUR APPOINTMENTS!!!!!!!!!! They said somehow our appointment was double booked and they couldn't... More

The massage was fine, however the massage therapist made, in my opinion, rude and unwelcome comments about my body. The facial I had was fine as well, but nothing fancy and I had no idea what products were being used on my face. Also, I had an appointment but ended up waiting close to 30 min between my massage and... More

The Senses Spa lacks the ambiance of more expensive spas. This should not be seen as a negative. It's informal with no pretense. I had a manicure, pedicure and facial all for just over $100.00 plus of course taxes and tip. Jenny was absolutely wonderful. She put me at ease and made it a memorable experience. I would not hesitate... More

Being here for the first time, I was thinking the "Spa" would give me the spa feel. I booked a 1 hour massage + a manicure/pedicure. Massage: small room, no spa aroma & no massage type feel. The massage, however, was great! Mani/Pedi: small room, white walls with no massage chairs. Very make-shift room. Service was great but again, not... More

I have been to Senses Spa many times over the years and I was always treated with kindness, fairness and professionalism. At times I had wonderful estheticians and massage therapists an rarely I had to deal with a non so competent staff member. When that happens people, we cannot judge the owners or the spa itself as they cannot control... More

Got us in on short notice, but made a pretty big booking error, which took away from the experience. It was the only Spa near our hotel that I could find open on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly service.

Just left this place after waiting for 25 mins for my 11.30 appointment to start. Walked in at 11.15 and was told there was an appointment available at 11.30 to have a manicure. At 11.40 the receptionist told me that the lady doing my nails was doing a back massage and the receipiant of the massage had requested to have... More

The massage was really good, the facial I not professional at all had my face cleaned with really cold water. The pedicure room had no pedicure chairs, I had to sit on a sofa chair and had my feet soaked in a metal bowl, not comfortable at all, the technician had her hair untied always on top if my feet... would not recommend this spa very poor service and poor quality polish - took three hours for mani pedi as polish kept smudging , would not dry, had to walk through concourse and hotel with disposable flip flops and tissue between toes, polish ended up smudging anyway - not to mention wax spilled all over my bag

I had the best massage I have ever had by Vince. I read some reviews about him so I requested him when making the appt. I was not disappointed. He is very firm and worked all the kinks out. I didn't want it to be over. All staff are very personable and friendly.

Thank Karen W

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
