The most wonderful wine tour experience! It was my first time even going on a wine tour and I was beyond impressed. Our driver was so much fun and so informative. The wineries they selected were all so great and so different from one an other. Lunch was delicious and that winery where we ate was one of my favourites.... More

We had booked a private tour for our group of 8. Dougall was our host/guide/driver for the day and he showed up on time, a little early in fact. Dougall told up about the on-board provisions like coffee, tea and croissants. He even catered for the 3 in our group who are on a gluten free diet. After the usual... More

Loved the wine tour! Great experience! Best way to tour Niagara's wineries. Very romantic for couples. Met some great folks on the tour. The wineries were each very interesting. Each a little unique and different in their own way. Very much worth the money, just sit back, ride and sample. We visited 4 wineries which also included a lunch at... More

...if only they hadn't run out of a delish cheese at the Cheesy Guys! Our group of 18 used two vehicles for a brilliant day of wine tasting, learning, and an excellent lunch. The respective sub-groups (10 & 8) visited 6 varied wineries in different sequences, meeting up for lunch at the Silo Bistro (Aure). The 8+ hour excursion was... More

If you had told me a few months ago that Canada makes excellent wines, I wouldn't have believed you. But it's true! I was very excited to try all the different varieties of wines produced in the Niagara region of Canada and the wine tour was probably the best way to do it. Professional and efficient, our tour was what... More

I was with a friend visiting Toronto, and we wanted to visit wineries without dedicating a full day in Niagara. The Urban Wine Tour was the perfect option, as it was from 10AM - 2PM and provided transportation and snacks. We visited 3 fantastic wineries just outside of Toronto. The group was only 5 people, which made it easy and... More

My group had a great time on our wine tour thanks to the service that was provided. There was a lot of email correspondence with Lou and she was very prompt in replying and answering questions. The bride is vegan and Lou was able to arrange for the wineries and restaurant to accommodate her diet restriction. Our guide, Leon was... More

We booked this wine tour as our transportation from Toronto to Niagara, and we were quite pleased with the experience. Dougall was an excellent host, and kept us entertained between stops with interesting conversation. The stops were well planned, and each experience was unique.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
