Located at the 401 and McGowan Road, in the east end of Toronto, STC proudly boasts over 200 stores and services, 30 dining options and a multi-screen Cineplex all in one location. Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.

Security and plainclothes men manning the STC Mall should be disciplined to properly and politely deal with the guests. I am a regular customer and have spent a considerable amount of money shopping and dining for many years now. An unpleasant incident recently left me furious and indignant. Am considering other nearby malls for my future shopping needs-

I was at Scarborough Town Centre (STC) onNov. 11/18. The parking was jammed at STC because of construction. As a result, there is much less parking available. There is so many cars looking for parking and with all the pedestrians crossing, it was not only congested but also quite dangerous. There was no one to direct traffic, to help pedestrians cross safely nor to help drivers to find parking. When I returned from my shopping after 30 minutes, I found a ticket on my windshield for $30. I called STC on Nov. 12/18 and even though I asked to speak to management I was directed to Security. The security manager (K**e) tells me that the ticket was issued because of a complaint (I asked to see the documented complaint) of parking on hash marks. He claims that they watch everything from cameras. I submitted to him that rather than watching the cameras, send people out to help people find their way safely (both pedestrians and drivers). It seems there are enough resources to go out and slap on tickets just not to do the services that people actually need. I wrote and asked the property management I be reimbursed for this ticket. After over a week I had still not heard a response and wrote back to ask again to respond. As of the writing of review, I had not heard back.
I will not be shopping there going forward. There is plenty of competition that I would recommend to those who want to shop in the area like Pickering Town Centre. As well, take a busy mall like Yorkdale where there is support for parking with mall personnel going around to help. As well, they tell you how many spots are available in each area and in the decked parking, there is actual lights above the parking spots that indicate if it is available or not. What a fantastic idea.
I also think that this experience will perhaps reinforce the fact that online shopping is the best way to go to avoid all the hassle.

Not bad to spend a few hours walking around shopping. Some decent shops and restaurants .The only negative Is there was quite a bit of litter on the streets.

Has most brands, over crowded sometimes . Has a food court with many options . Its one of those malls here which is multi storey basically two stories!!! Good for regular things!!!

Parking is ample.Some good stores here like Muji and Walmart.Can start with Jollibee with tasty fried chicken and finished with a cup of Tim Hortons coffee or pastries from St.Germaine bakery(originally from Vancouver).Can spend an afternoon here for under $20.

This Mall has everything in it, You dont have to go out you can dine, buy things, and even watch a movie inside the mall.It has recently been renovated which made it become even larger.
It is also attached to the subway which is an advantage to the public who don't want to use their vehicles.

The newly renovated Scarborough Town Center looks very good. One can have a great shopping experience, everything under one roof. Plenty of stores. You can get good deals if you are a savvy shopper. Great for quick eats too.

Well its a small mall but some of the stores are different than in the US which is nice. Never seen a mall anchored by Walmart but the inside of the mall was like any other mall but just with different shops. You can actually find some Canadian stores.
