This is the centre of the city's gay culture, but there is little here to necessarily identify it as such, unless you are there for the nightlife. As such it is not really a site in itself, as it is mostly just a bunch of...More

Twenty years ago the "Gay Village" was the place to be in Toronto. It was overflowing with trendy, young men and women of all sexual persuasions, with very hip bars and restaurants, and stylish shops. Those days have gone. Today, several of the storefronts are...More

This is the gay area in Toronto, all streets, banks and shops have the gay flag in their logo or walls. Very nice to walk around.

Rainbow neighborhood with something for anyone just wanting to enjoy the day or an evening. Coffee shops, restaurants, window shopping, people watching. Cool place to just spend some time & relax.

Extra large rainbow sidewalks! Fun places to eat, though many of them close earlier than I had wished. I stayed 4 nights in this neighborhood (on foot), first time in Toronto, and had a blast.

a strong student influence from the Ryerson University
Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in
flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities,
with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to
