Dim Sum Tasting Event

Love the Toronto Sign and environment, very beautiful night view and took many photos. The event did not meet my expectation.

Went and had a look at this. Is just a square, not much to see. We just took a photo of the Toronto sign and then left. Would spend 5 mins there just for that. Not sure if they have things there in summer time but not much going on there when we were there.

Nathan Phillips Square is a fun place to see. In the winter it has a fun skating rink to spend time on, and it has the Toronto sign as well which is great to take some selfies with while you're in the city. It's not the most exciting place in the city though, so you probably won't need to spend... More

Very fun place to skate at night under the stars. It'd be nice if there were benches closer to the rink for sitting and putting your skates on so you don't have to walk on the concrete with your skates on, but we managed. The ice was a bit rough, probably due to so many people skating. Maybe not the... More

It was nice to bring my tourist friends and take a photo with the Toronto sign. Its great that they have food and skate rentals right there. I would definitely recommend!

It is kind of obvious but the place is cute and the buildings and lake can give you great pictures. The place is always full of people so be patient to have that shot in front of TORONTO.

We visited when a Nepal cultural event was on going. Looks like this may be a place for cultural events. It did not offer any other activities but when visiting Toronto, one should get pictures with the TORONTO sign. So...

Always a pleasure to come here for outdoor activities like skating or even NYE celebrations. One of the most popular in all of Toronto.

Last summer, I missed to visit this square, but eventually we made it in Winter to skate! It was just amazing, it is right in the downtown, from where you can walk almost all the touristic attractions. Really had fun experience!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
