Unfortunately my time at Tam O'Shanter wasn't a great one. My friend and I had called in a week ago to book a tee time and they had confirmed one with us. When we showed up for our tee time we were informed that 1. The tee time didn't exist 2. Thus, we didn't have a tee time. They managed... More

Recently played Tam O'Shanter golf course which is a City of Toronto run municipal golf course. First I would like to say that the course is in good shape for a City run course and I am going to blame the golfers more then the course staff on why the course is not in better shape. I have played PGA... More

My sole complaint....Course Marshall. If you're just starting out, I suggest you go somewhere else. The Course Marshall hounded our group from start to finish claiming we were holding everyone up (not taking into account that we couldn't go any faster as there was also a group ahead of us). Anyway, in the end, he made it clear that we... More

Decent golf course for a public course. Located in Scarborough, easy to get to from the 401. Facilities are average.

This is a very nice course especially since it is a city owned and operated course. I think the other reviewed just hit them at a bad day for some reason. I have played here many times and have never had a problem in any way. I must say that their policy of blowing the horn to get you off... More

I had a horrible experience at this course and I have no problem saying that I will never attend this course again or ever recommend it to anyone and this is why. My friend and I received a rain-check for 9 holes and a cart from this course. We were told when we got them that we could only use... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
