There used to be a bar at the corner of Hazelton and Ave with street appeal windows. You could peer in, even if you didn't enter. It looked inviting. The hotel that housed it was a mainstay of the Yorkville scene. The corner was gutted for condos and the hotel rebuilt a few corners over. Its rebuild/redesign came with "wind... More

Comfortable large bar in the Intercontinental Hotel on Bloor St. The selection of vodkas is limited to the brands available everywhere, so if that is what you want it should be fine. If you are looking for a depth or breadth of offerings you will be disappointed. A selection of mixed drinks and wines are available. Service is friendly but... More

What a treat for the end of summer! The ambiance is perfect, especially for group gatherings. I notice a lot of MeetUp groups are using it, which is how I came there. Nice surprise tucked away in the middle of a busy area. Sheltered and nicely furnished, a great venue for mingling and to wander indoors and out. The category... More

A friend and I celebrated my milestone birthday here last weekend. Upon entering the bar we were promptly greeted by a very personable hostess named Marly. She was very friendly and familiarized us with the menu, and general information about the bar. A little rushed for time we decided to order a drink at the bar. We were served by... More

Luxury bar attached to the Intercontinental Yorkville, a luxury hotel. Their specialty is exotic cocktails. The cocktails are $20 each on average. It is in Yorkville, playground of the rich and famous. So you need to dress up. Think James Bond. Suit and tie kind of place. Serves a high-class clientele, the money crowd. Very posh, stylish and swank. Their... More

This place could be georgeous. They have a very nice outdoor courtyard with sofa and comfy armchairs. It's lacking of greenry, a few trees, bushes would make it a very elegant place. The cocktails are very good. The sphere ones are spectacular. The Spanish theme on the menu is nice but the food does not meet expectation. Friendly staff.

My husband and I were on vacation in Toronto from Boston and came in here after having dinner down the street. We were supposed to have one drink and leave to the next place and ended up staying here all night! The bartender, Krista, was very nice, attentive and made an excellent martini. I must have had at least 3... More

This place was well worth it. Spent almost $600 but I everything and everyone there was perfect! Reggie our server/bartender was amazing and so patient with my party of approximately 25 people. They even brought out a complimentary cake for my Girlfriend's birthday and accommodated for everyone!! Love it! Would recommend again, the food was also amazing!!!

The best bartender in Toronto hands down! Krista is the bartender and she's the best. I stayed at the hotel 3 nights, each night she made me the best drink and recommended the best places for dinner. I made sure my evenings started with a drink with Krista, her dinner recommendation, and a few more drinks by Krista. Friendly, fun,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
