About
Get a true craft experience with daily brewery tours, seating surrounding the glass encased, still operational brew house and an ever rotating list of small batch brews alongside our classics. On the go? Our retail store is fully stocked with the freshest packaged Mill Street Brews. About Mill Street Brewery: Our story begins in the winter of 2002 when we opened the doors to our little red brick brewery in Toronto's historic Distillery District. With an earth-friendly philosophy in mind, Original Organic Lager was the first beer we ever made, and the first ever organic beer brewed in Canada. Soon after we impressed curious craft drinkers with Tankhouse Ale, a uniquely flavour-forward brew for its time. In 2006, we exceeded the capacity of our modest brewhouse and made the decision to expand the brewery, converting the original brewery space into a brewpub. 2012 saw us take on Ottawa's vibrant craft beer scene, opening a second brewpub in a historic old gristmill on the banks of the Ottawa River. We certainly never lost our dedication to our craft and passion for pushing the envelope. Our ever-expanding portfolio now includes over 60 unique beers earning us well over 100 awards, including 3-time Canadian Brewery of the Year. That's our story up till now. Who knows where our "Great Beer" adventure will take us next?

Visited here on light night and was added to list for a table of two. We were given a pager and told to wait 5 mins.
After waiting for 25 in the lobby, and watching three other tables of 2 being called (who came in after us) we went to find out what was happening.
The hostess explained they tried to page us and maybe we walked too far away for the pager to work. After explained we’d been stood in the doorway, they went to check for a table. Absolute disorganised chaos. Of course no tables remained as all the tables for two had been taken by those who walked in after us.
No offers or apologies. We were asked to wait in the tasting room whilst a table become free. Absolutely not. Walked out before wasting another 20 minutes to be forgotten about.

We ordered nachos, the lettuce wraps and drinks. Waiter was nice and efficient but……
Nachos $28 not much on them and we had to pay an extra $4 for guacamole. The guac was such a tiny serving and was disgusting quality. The lettuce wraps were nicely presented but they gave the limpest 4 pieces of lettuce I have ever seen to wrap the ingredients up in so everything g fell apart immediately. 2 normal size pieces of lettuce and 2 tiny unusable sized pieces of lettuce. They may as well of chopped it all up and gave us a fork. Go somewhere else. Huge waste of money.

We called in here after wandering round the distillery district I had the pulled pork taco, just because the beer I chose was meant to be a good accompaniment for it. Then Taco was on the small size and not overly flavoursome. On the other hand the chicken wings were fantastic, huge bowl of them a massive amount of flavour. Mostly pepper sauce 😊

If you love your beer then Mill St is for you. A great selection of your normal and not so normal beer flavours . It also comes in three different sizes . Opt for large and save your server a few walks !! Huge indoor/ outdoor space .. Food is your regular brewery fare .. Great spot in the Distillery district.. Recommended!

Unique beer. Mill street brewery offers variety of beer. At the time of my visitation, pumpkin beer was available, so I grabbed that. It was very unique. I wish I could buy more.

It was busy but it was such a cool place to have a beer and enjoy lunch. There is plenty of seating and the staff were quick. The Apple 🍎 Cider was tasty. I enjoyed the poutine and the others some burgers. This is a working Brewery and there is plenty o see and do there. A must see.

Large restaurant located in the Distillery District. Lots of staff working when we were there and the place was packed. It was clean, and the service was great with quick receipt of food. Had the chicken flatbread that was great. And the BBQ dinner for one was exceptional. The meat was very tender and no knife required.
Handicapped accessible.

Caught a local bus to go to this new tourist destination.as they called "The Distillery Historic District" with plenty of things to do & see other than drinking. It's a Dining & Architectural Wonder for whom appreciates the old & historical. Picked up a simple lunch in well known Mill Street Brew Pub & The Beer Hall. My highlight was a selfie in the "Love" sign where I visited in many part of the world. Some nice art gallery, fashion boutique shops & not to miss a taste of local ice cream.
