Fantastic time. Humble servant-hearted captain. Top of the line equipment. Caught fish!! (13 word summary - if you want to hear more, read on). We went out on July 30, 2020, 2 good friends and 3 kids, ages 12-17. Our main goal was 1) for our boys to have the experience of catching big fish 2) for the 2 adults (who are really just big kids at heart) to catch big fish. Aaron is a low talker (for us Seinfeld fans) who reminds me of the world's most interesting fisherman (for us Dos Equis fans). He works extremely hard to ensure all we did was reel in the fish. At the end, Aaron even stayed out later for us because he really wanted one of us to catch one last big fish. And amazingly, it happened.....take a look at this pic. I recommend this day trip for anyone who wants to catch big fish, experience the wonders of nature, and meet a passionate professional fisherman who's greatest joy is the success of his charge and witnessing the enthrallment in our faces.

My wife and I booked a trip with Epic Sportfishing on a recent trip to Toronto. Long story short, we had a blast! We could not have asked for a better captain and guide in Aaron, the owner. The boat and fishing tackle were all in exceptional condition and Aaron was focused on making sure that we had a memorable experience. We caught coho, chinook, and Atlantic salmon, along with a lake trout. Aside from the fishing which was super-fun, we really enjoyed talking with Aaron. I'm not exaggerating when I say that it felt like we were out on the lake with a friend. And, Aaron's general knowledge of Toronto was much appreciated for us out-of-towners. We would highly recommend booking a trip with Epic Sportfishing if are looking to get out on Lake Ontario!

We met Aaron at Bluffers Park Marina late in the afternoon. He had called me ahead of time to let me know about conditions on the lake and so we decided to start a bit later to avoid the potential for seasickness. That was helpful. We were not expecting too much but were hoping for a few strikes and hoped to land one or two fish. Well Aaron definitely knew how to coax the fish out of hiding as we landed six salmon in the space of 4 hours including three 20+ pound Chinook salmon. At one stage right before we went in we landed three salmon simultaneously. It was truly an awesome experience. I was hoping my son would get the chance to experience real salmon fishing and we got way more than that. I won't forget it. Overall, it was a great day out. Aaron is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended.

Our team was generously treated by our boss to this incredible experience as a token of appreciation. There were six of us and we went in the AM :)
We caught a total of nine fish, four salmon (King and Coho) and 5 trout (Rainbow and Silver), the largest weighed almost 20 lbs and some salmon even had roe.
Erin was a great Captain, he was extremely hard-working and knowledgeable. It was thanks to him that everyone caught a fish, including myself which I wasn't sure would be possible. We shared so many laughs and even ate birthday cake for breakfast, haha!
Thank you so much, Erin for such an amazing time, our team made some wonderful memories that day.

I had never been on a fishing excursion before so I was a bit apprehensive but Aaron was great to deal with. He made us all very comfortable, he was very patient, gave great pointers and we all had a great time. Aaron is very knowledgeable. We had such a good experience the first time around that we booked a second trip for a few weeks later and it was awesome! I would definitely use Epic Sportfishing again and would recommend them to anyone looking to do a fishing excursion.

Aaron was not only a great skipper and guide but also a strong promoter of Ontario Sporsfishing industry. We learn a lot about sustainable fishing in Lake Ontario and appreciate his passion and enthusiasm about fishing. What an experience to fish salmon and trouts just outside of Toronto. Highly recommend to give it a try and to come back for more for a chance to catch the 40 pounders.

Aaron the owner of Epic Fishing gave me the best experience i have ever had ... This charter was the first i had ever been on and its the only one i will ever go on. Aaron made the experience of the charter what i was hoping for ... hes a great guy laughs and jokes with you makes sure his clients are happy and comfortable ... i give Aaron and Epic a 5 star and will continue to use him and reccomend him to everyone i know .

Out with some friends on October 1. Excellent experience. Captain Aaron communicated the potential conditions the day before. There was a good roll on the water but the boat handled it quite comfortably.
Excellent equipment. Captain Aaron was very experienced and knowledgeable. Several bait options, techniques searching for correct water temperatures were utilized to maximize success. Lots of fish.

Aron, I hoped for a memorable fishing experience as a birthday gift to my husband. You definitely delivered! It is evident that you are a master of your craft! As I write this review the stories of our great catch and our smiling pictures are circulated around the world 😀. Our friends went fishing before with other companies and their experience was not as good so they tried to lower my expectations. I counted to differ and I was right. We are now making plans for our next trip with you! Thanks again!

I booked with Aaron for my partner's 40th birthday and boy oh boy was it a hit! We booked the early morning slot and got onto the water without delay. Aaron was knowledgeable and super kind! He was patient for a beginner like me and a wonderful addition for experts like my partner. You really learn about the type of fish on the lake and marine life preservation. So don't be afraid to ask questions! Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a hat and a great attitude!

I am planning a trip for next august with a few friends. As we are coming from the US through New York. are there any issues bringing our catch across the border when we return home?

We declared our catch at border, but were not searched. Aaron will clean and filet the fish onboard and leave skin on for fish identification, which is required to transport fish over border. Do that and you should be fine.

We are interested in taking a short trip on your boat (5-6 people) sometime in May (possibly May 24th, 2018). We have never done fishing and we are not sure how much we will enjoy but surely would like to try. What is the minimum duration you offer and what is the price including boat rental, fishing gear etc.? Can we bring alcoholic beverages on the boat?

Hi there
In the month of May I run my charters out St Catharines and return to the Toronto are in the beginning of June. I have a lot of inexperienced guests, this type of fishing is perfect for the novice angler. I will set all the lines and you and your group get to relax and enjoy the trip until we get a strike. I will make sure the fish is well hooked and then it’s up to you to reel it to the boat.
My trips are 5hrs long at a cost of $700 for up to a max of 6 people. All the gear is supplied. The only thing you are required to have is a valid Ontario fishing license.
If you choose to bring alcohol everyone must be responsible and I can’t have anyone getting intoxicated.
