It's supposed to be one of the nicest beaches, so we went to check it out. It was a lovely beach, soft sand, toilets.. the only thing is that everything is cash only! What a shame. We're tourists, and have been to over 120 countries, we avoid carrying cash. TBH, not sure I know anyone who carries cash these days, but perhaps this is something in Toronto. Kids wanted ice cream and a few treats, but couldn't help local tourism..

Found this gem on the edge of the downtown hosting a truck food and music festival. What a beautiful park, from the lake to the beach so beautifully set out. Despite being busy there seemed to be room for everyone

The temperature was 95F with a feels like 111F. We went to Woodbine Beach, brought a picnic lunch and sat in the shade of the trees. We expected to swim, but the cool breeze off the lake made us think the water was too cold for us. However, it was cool all day, the view was beautiful, the boardwalk had lots of people and dogs out for a walk. If you look to the west, you can see the beach at Ashbridge's Bay -- sandy, but VERY crowded. The Woodbine Beach had stones, but wasn't overly crowded. There was a snack bar and a rest room. Parking is difficult -- you have to park on the street and on such a hot day over a holiday weekend, parking was very limited.
We would go again.

We knew Toronto was going to be cold in winter and had dressed accordingly. But boy does it blow from Lake Ontario across the beach when it wants to! We had a lovely walk - though in winter I'd recommend wearing extra grippers on your boots - but had to cut it short as despite all the layers it was just too cold to continue. It certainly cleared our heads!

There is something to do for all age groups. We went for a hike today with the grandchildren on the boardwalk which is wide enough to maintain the proper spacing.
It was -11 C, overcast with gusting winds – a “double B-R-R-R-R” day where we went walking on Discovery walk.
While it was far from busy, it was one of the busiest days we’ve gone hiking to date. Obviously, it wasn’t cold for the kids as they couldn’t wait to get on the play structures. It was good to get out and enjoy the fresh air, but it was so nice to be out of the wind at home. LOL

I went Woodbine beach on Sunday with my family . There were not too many people and we found a good place near the water. The beach had stone and it was hard for me to walk through the stone in the water. There is a park near the beach and we did BBQ. the parking lot is very limited and we found a parking space by chance. we payed for parking space.

The boardwalk is nice to walk along but I always find the beach to be dirty. The beaches on the Toronto Islands are much nicer.

Woodbine Beach is part of the Toronto Beaches Area which is close to Downtown Toronto but far removed from the hustle and bustle of normal big city life.
Ample parking is available and the beach is truly an oasis of calm. A short walk away is Queen Street with its boutiques and dining places.
Our group of friends spent several hours walking around and people watching. We were mainly on the boardwalk on the side of Lake Ontario which is adjacent to a dedicated path for bicycles. The weather in late September was sunny and ideal for our day here before we adjourned to a nearby Greek Taverna for dinner.
