Camping in a mess.
Sep. 2021
Stayed two nights at the national campground. It was hit hard by Tropical storm Dorianne in 2019 and the campground is still in a terrible mess. The three way sites are basically situated in a swamp with a straggle of secondary growth separating the sites. Apparently Parks Canada has no plans to rectify the mess and hopes nature will do the trick. Good luck to that. There were many two way sites that escaped the storm but for some wierd reason they are closed?? Strongly advise campers looking for three way hookups to look elsewhere.

Great camping
Aug. 2021
Excellent campground with super-clean bathroom facilities. Being the National Park, there are accessible campsites coupled with accessible washrooms. Very modern and well-appointed. Friendly students working in all aspects of the park. There is great beach access. Wifi was strong up near the office. Amazing views, wonderful beach and not far from anything. We did not venture onto the trails on this trip.

Classic beaches
Jul. 2021 • Couples
If you visit PEI, you will most likely end up visiting the national park. There are several beaches to enjoy, with cove head beach being a favourite. Not many people in sight too which is great. There are also amazing trails which I highly recommend.

Rent a bike and go on the trails!
Jun. 2019 • Couples
We had the best time renting bikes and going on trails. We went through wooded areas and discovered cute little lookouts over water and gorgeous scenery. It’s a cheap admission per car and well worth it. You can rent bikes across the street at the gas station.

Not a bad national park
Aug. 2019
This isn't as impressive as some of the other national parks, but it is worth a visit too. Plenty of things to do and a surprisingly active beach scene.

Red sand beaches along the shore with wind-sculptures dunes, salt marshes and inlets. Shore birds abundant.

My girlfriend Sherrie and I stayed at the Bay Vista Motel in Cavendish . We visited the park on Wednesday Sept. 4. We were in awe of the natural beauty of the island and fell in love with the culture and scenery.

The Greenwich Dunes

Jaw-dropping view as one goes further along the wooden planks of the red sand Dunes. The nearer we got to the beach, the more beautiful it was. We were very lucky, the weather was kind!
I’d say a bucket list place to visit!
