This was a great place to bring the kids.....unfortunately it is closed

We brought the kids through this place the last time we were here and saddened to discover it had closed in May of this year due to a decline in attendance over the years.

Founders Hall is a beautiful place to have a wedding. The space was perfect, the decor was most exquisite, the marble floors, the two sided stair case, just the overall was PERFECT!!! When the bride eloquently walked down those stairs it was breath taking. If you, decide to hold and wedding there the venue will blow your guest away. The... More

Asked a resident what was Founders' Hall and was told there is a restaurant inside along with bathroom facilities. It was a museum but that has moved out.

Nothing going on here. Had once been a tourist info spot. Only thing there now is a Dave's Lobster which was completely empty. There is a new tourist info spot just a few steps away.

The last review seemed to suggest that the Founders Hall history exhibit was open. There is nothing in there other than a tour group office and a fast food restaurant. We went there to see the exhibit. Don't bother, but do eat seafood close by at Water Prince restaurant!

Dinning, great harbour views and park are nearby. Those curious about history will be pleased. Took some great photos here both day and night time.

The Hall is closed because the new owners of the building didn't want to subsidize this site. It was very disappointing because it was listed as a Gem in the BCAA 2016 tourist guide. I went about 10 years ago with my daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive displays. Province House is also closed because it is being renovated.

This place gives you a good overview of confederation, it's a good thing to check out first before diving into the city and surroundings. I found it entertaining and useful. I recommend it for people who aren't firmiliar with the history of confederation.

We were told in the Visitor's Centre next door that Founders Hall is closed down and they have no plans to reopen it. Apparently the visitor numbers have dropped steadily for years making it no longer worth operating.

Nice place to stop for information on PEI. It has a small gift store but it is not remarkable. There are much better gift stores in Charlottetown with more unique items. The historical museum/history walk is informative but may not hold younger children's attention. Washrooms are clean. There is a small restaurant that I did not try out as it... More
