Captain Ken and deckhand Angie were phenomenal!! Sailboats, lighthouse, jokes, lobsters, a seal, great DJ selections, Capt Ken playing guitar, and a lovely sunset topped off the evening! We were so happy to get out on the water and the time flew by! Thanks for a great evening tour!

Amazing experience; Thank you Captain Ken!
For anyone looking to participate in a tour on the water, this is it! Don’t miss out!
We had a great time going out on the waters to see seals snd learn about lobster trapping!
We went out on a warm sunny day and it was a little windy at some points so we did get a little spray/mist from some splashing during the boat tour which is expected and was welcomed with how hot it was!
Captain Ken definitely made the experience entertaining with traditional songs he played on his guitar and the fun stories he told as well as the trivia questions he asked.
Our 10 and 12 year old daughters enjoyed seeing the seals, and getting to hold a lobster, and having a chance to sit in the captains chair and take photos!
Also, Thanks Captain Ken for taking us back to our previous memories with the Nellie J. Banks song!

My and I have been repeat customers with Captain Kenny since 2017. He’s a skilled mariner and also very knowledgeable about Charlottetown and PEI in general. Kenny is great with adults and kids alike including when he brings out his guitar for a song or two or explains how to set and pull a lobster trap. This tour has been a highlight of our trips to PEI and we’re looking forward to coming back again this year. I highly recommend Peake’s Wharf Boat Tours.

Captains Kenny and Greg were extremely hospitable, knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw seals, birds, lighthouses and got to handle a lobster pulled out of a live trap. What really sealed the deal for us was captain Kenny’s live guitar performance and numerous seal puns.

I did this tour and I find it is OK but not quite what I was expecting for the price. I was really hoping to see seals laying down on rocks or sand but the only thing we could see was little heads coming in and out of the water far away. Low quality binoculars were provided but still we could not see well. The most interesting part of the tour is seeing lobsters in traps and learning about the lobster fishing industry. You can actually hold the animal in your hands. The boat used for travelling is a bit old and smells like gas. The captain tries to be friendly and plays guitar songs but the tour is not interesting enough most of the time

Kids (and I) had great fun, seeing the coast, holding live lobster and driving the boat. Captain made the decision on our way out not to go to see the seals due to wind and rough sea conditions - I’m always grateful to have safety prioritized and he compensated us the difference between the price paid and their shorter excursion, which was very appreciated. Really fun, and would highly recommend!

What an excellent experience. My wife and I went on the afternoon Seal Watch and Lobster Trap tour and it was a fantastic tour. Lots of good knowledge from the boat Captain (also the owner), and his first mate. Well thought out and planning was awesome! Loads of seals to see when we got to the site and we stopped for about 20 minutes to half an hour to watch them in the water. Afterwards we went to a lobster trap that he owns (educational license) and we got to watch the trap pulled from the water, and watched how the claws are banded after capture. He went on to explain how the different sizes of lobsters were sorted and which ones went for each purpose while we were able to hold the lobsters. The lobsters were released after the demo.
All-in-all, an awesome way to spend part of an afternoon. We would recommend this tour to everyone visiting Charlottetown, PEI.

Overall, a very disappointing tour. We did see seals and the lobster trap experience was informative. But there was a lack of commentary on Charleton, PEI and the area. Lots of dead time filled with silly chatter and guitar playing. Our Boat tours in Booth Bay and Bar Harbor were much more informative and interesting.

Hi Ron.
Guess I'm Very disappointed you were disappointed. I have taken out thousands of very happy people.
In response to lack of commentary on (Charteton) Charlottetown, they do have walking tours that provide that kind of info. I am a boat tour.
Glad I did offer what I advertise Seals and Lobster trap haul.
Sorry also that you find my family stories and PEI trivia silly and maybe my guitar and singing Silly. Many many enjoy what I do and as owner operator I try my hardest to make it the best tour I can provide.
It is very hard to please all, all the time.
At the end of all tours I do inform people that if there is something I can do to improve the tour please let me know when we get back to the dock.
Thanks for your info, and for the tip your friend gave us.

We had such a wonderful afternoon on the water. Our captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He provided a lot of interesting information about PEI, lobster fishing, the seals. Family members in our group thought it was the best activity of our trip to PEI. Very family friendly, highly recommend.

I found this to be a great way to spend a couple hours on a sunny afternoon. The boat was comfortable and Captain Ken was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. (Even pulls out the guitar for a few songs.). Not a ton to see in the tour but great way to see the waterfront, red cliffs and sea life. Was interesting pulling the lobster trap in and learning about the lobster fishery.
Would recommend if you got a couple hours to fill. Affordable and enjoyable.

Would you please advise what is the cost of this tour and is there accessibility for seniors. Thank you Noreen Maddock

Cost is $39.00 per person. Captain and his sister are very helpful to all travelers getting on and off the craft. Need to be careful.
