Highland Storm show was fantastic. The seating in this theatre was very good. You could see from anywhere. Attendants selling 50/50 tickets were actual performers of the show. Very pleasant staff. Very talented people.

We attended Highland Storm, and it exceeded my high expectations! The performers were all very talented, and clearly passionate about Celtic music and traditions. This was an exceptional show, professional, and full of passion and energy. I would recommend it to anyone as a "must see" if you are in PEI, and a terrific evening of stirring, high quality entertainment!

We went to see the final performance of Celtic Thunder for 2014 on August the 6th at the outdoor theatre of The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts.. We very much enjoyed all of the performance. They had a good mix of music. I don't believe that I have ever heard the bagpipes play a Beatles song before! I really enjoyed what they did with it. Ending the evening with a strawberry shortcake was, as they say, "the icing on the cake". The pipers left the next day for the Worlds in Scotland and we hope they did well there. They deserve to. We would definitely recommend this event to anyone visiting PEI.

We were hoping for more than just a single display case. While this bagpipe was truly an important piece of history, we were interested to learn more about the pipes as a whole.

My family and I have been to PEI several times and have enjoyed the performances at the College of Piping immensely! This year my husband flew out to meet me for one week and we set a day aside to attend the Celtic Gathering and Highland Games.

Sorry to say we were very disappointed with the "Highland Games" that were so highly ( and falsely ) advertised, as there were no games to be found. No caber toss, no hammer throw. We were hard pressed to find anything at all going on when we were there on Sunday, lots of people mulling about. What we thought was going to be the highlight of the day, the mass bands, also left our high hopes deflated. They piped onto the field, spent about half an hour presenting awards from the previous day's performances ( I heard someone say, "It would have been nice to see some of these things" ) and then they piped off to the side of the field again. A total of about 2 minutes playing. Since we only had a week on the island, this turned out to be a huge waste of a day!

Definitely worth seeing if you want a Celtic flavor for your trip. While a little difficult to understand the words of the soloist a few times, overall the performance was high energy, well-done and a lot of fun. Good balance between serious and amusing numbers as well as pretty good balance between music performance and dance. Ticket was a little on the pricey side for the level of entertainment, but because it supports the school, I didn't mind paying. If cold (which it was on the final performance evening), be forewarned that this is in a tent and thus sheltered from the wind, but no heaters. We stayed warm enough dressed in multiple layers.

'Highland Storm' is a performance presented by The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts for a limited time each summer in Summerside. I am so glad we began our PEI vacation by attending this concert in an outdoor domed tent on the college campus. There were a few mosquitos but it was not unbearable. I had purchased VIP tickets online ahead of time. We sat in the third row center stage. It was a rather small venue so general seating would also have been adequate. The concert lasted about an hour and a half and there was an equal mix of bag pipes, drumming, fiddling, step dancing and singing. The students are very talented and there was even a comedy routine. During intermission I purchased a beautiful plaid pashima scarf in The Gift Shop for a friend who was watching our cat while we were vacationing. She loves the scarf and the purchase benefited the school. Don't miss out on this performance if you have the opportunity to attend. At the very least you should visit the college.

While in Prince Edward Island be absolutely sure to take in "HIGHLAND STORM" at the College of Piping in Summerside. If you are a lover of everything Celtic , or even if it is your first time seeing this genre live , you will not be disappointed. Showcased are the talented instructors and students of the facility which includes a world class pipe band , award winning Highland dancers and step dancers that make you want to hop up and do a little jig yourself ! Extremely entertaining , moving and some hilarious moments to take away with you. Fiddles , guitars and low whistle are also featured and you will love each and every number . The pipe bands' AMAZING GRACE will give you chills and bring a tear !!

This year's program, Highland Storm, is a must see for anyone who enjoys all aspects of Celtic music. There were fiddlers, pipers, drummers, dancers and singers and an exceptionally talented piano player. The show was 2 hrs. with an intermission but the time passed very quickly. A "thunderous" good time for young and old. Be advised that seating is on bleachers and bring a cushion if you have one.

Lovely show in a very comfy theatre. You get quite a show for a very adorable ticket. Pipers, highland dancing and step dancing, combined with live singing form a story over two hours. I learned a lot, and got a feel for the history of the Island. Well executed and would highly recommend!
