I always appreciate the beauty of handmade objects especially when I'm traveling to countries I've never toured before. Walking along St. Paul street we spotted this shop with lovely items in the window and a large selection of gifts available for purchase. I wish we had had more time to browse. I did purchase fabulous blown glass animals to add to my collection.But there was so much more to see. Not your typical art shop and totally worth a visit!

We always spend time here when in Montreal (Old Montreal), because this artist's cooperative is one-of-a-kind! There are works for sale from all kinds of artists, all local, from pottery to soaps to jewellery to clothing to kids' items. There are things for every taste and every price range, and I can never get away without buying something because I always find something unique. Don't miss this little gem!

This is my new favorite store, though I live in the US! It was great to see so many unique items. I purchased 3 things, a leather bracelet, a cat glass figurine, and glass salt and pepper shakers designed as a cat face and a cat paw.
There were unique handbags as well, and very nice jewelry to choose from.
I would definitely recommend a visit if in the area and hope to be able to return one day or find some of their wares online to have them shipped to me in the US!

L'Empreinte Cooperative offers a very nice assortment of souvenirs, locally produced clothing, jewellery, etc. The staff was very knowledgeable and, from what we understood, local producers themselves. We ended up buying some nice jewellery. We could have bought half the store.

Located 88 rue St Paul Est Vieux Montreal (Quebec) this place have a variety of souvenirs hand made with quality and good price! Arts in wood, metal and paper! Check it!

Wonderful store for finding local artisan work. Jewelry(!), purses, scarves, kids items, pottery, kitchen stuff, etc., etc. Prices are a bit high, but you're getting hand-crafted items.
With the knowledgeable help of one of the staff, we found some beautiful and unique jewelry pieces.

Fantastic store in old Montreal. Lots and lots of locally made crafts unique to Quebec. It isn't cheap but you're paying for some unique high quality so I can't whine about the prices in the store. Last time I visited, I was lusting after these adorable sleepy stuffed animals and I was surprised when I got one as a gift during the visit to the store this trip (surprise gifts from your travel partner are always welcomed). I ended up with an adorable beaver made locally by Velvet Moustache. They also have a lot of nice postcards and frame worthy art. Huge selection that I am not doing justice to - you have to go in and prepare to spend at least 20 minutes browsing. The store is packed with cool items.

I was looking for some unique souvenirs and stumbled upon L'Empreinte Cooperative. They had a lot of unique items, I found great gifts for my wife and mother. I would highly recommend taking in this place if you are looking for some great gifts to bring back from Montreal. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

The perfect place to find a Quebec keepsake for yourself, or a gift for someone special. There is something for everyone from baby, to partner, to friend. The range available is extensive and all the work is unique and beautiful.
