This guy is beloved in this town and this mural is very well-executed. It is very tall and on the side of a skyscraper, displayed in a way that you can see it from Mont Royal as well as from some streets downtown. Good art, good memorial.

There are many large murals with artistic value in downtown Montreal, which not only beautify the city, but also enhance the artistic atmosphere in the city. This large mural on the wall of a 21-story building on Crescent Street in the city center commemorates Leonard Cohen, a well-known singer, poet and novelist born in Montreal. It vividly depicts his profound soul and wisdom, even for his Foreigners who are not familiar with it are also moved by it. In addition to visiting the site, you can also enjoy it from the Mount Royal Observation Deck.

This was something I specifically wanted to see whilst in Montréal. It is such an amazing mural that can be seen from mount royal chalet lookout which gives you a panoramic view across Montréal but can be very busy with everyone trying to capture the perfect shot but you can also get a close up on street level near St Catherine street and see how amazingly done it is and the true talents of the artist. It was honestly such a treat and a highlight of my trip!

I walked 30 minutes each way from Old Town listening to Cohen music to get in the right frame of mind. The mural itself is so intricate and well done. The neighborhood is great. Well worth effort any side trip needed to see it.

Really beautifully done. The only issue I might have is that it’s me of the last photos of him, but he was an interesting guy for a long time and so they could have done photos of him in different stages of his life from say 30 yrs onward but it still works as it is. Definitely a fitting tribute to his amazing legacy.

Leonard Cohen was a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet and novelist born in Westmount, Mtl, Quebec. His work was a lot about religion, politics and personal relationships. Cohen was inducted in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He died on November 7, 2016 at 82 years old. Famous song was Alleluia. On this 20 storey building on Crescent St., a bit north of Ste-Catherine you can see a towering mural commemorating Leonard Cohen. This art of work can be seen as far as from Mont-Royal Mountain facing the south as you look down. It is a very special towering mural that means a great deal to the family and Montreal locals because he was born in this city and accomplished a lot in his career.

We were sitting in Crescent Street having a couple of pops. Our local friend looks up and noticed the mural first. Actually, he didn't even know there was one, and he lives in Montreal!!!
It's a very nice tribute to a Canadian icon.

This mural is easily seen from the street but also within the Museum of Beaux Arts and it is moving. His music is such a representation of his soul.
