Shopping, shopping, shopping! And lots of places to have a meal or a drink. The atmosphere is a lot like the tiny little towns in Sicily I love so much. If you're into architecture, you'll be enamored.

Beautiful locale interesting antique buildings. Sorry can't spend longer and linger more. Crowded but that comes with the territory.

Montreals Old Town is as expected. Old cobble stone streets and awesome architecture to admire. Lots of shopping and dining options. The streets get pretty busy with traffic and construction...be careful.

Restoration projects have preserved the authensity of old Montréal. Walking its streets early mornings plunges one into a 350 year old New World treasure. Enjoy it's unique architecture, it's cobble stone streets, and its well preserved majestic old buildings. Clément Rodrigue Halifax, Nova Scotia

The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to
some of the city's most antiquated buildings and
picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St.
Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums,
festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a
celebrated part of the city that explodes into
fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its
centre, street performers and artists compete with

My husband and I will be in Montreal for the first time for four days. We will rent an apartment. We will not have a car. Would you suggest your opinion of what section of town is good? We are not shoppers, (except grocery shopping as I plan to cook). Thank you.

Hi. If you're not renting a car, I would suggest staying at a place downtown, close to a subway station. Their collective transport is quite efficient. As for tours like ours, Gray Line Tours has quite a few by bus, which... More

We will be traveling with a 10 year old boy and 7 year old girl, what would be a must while in old Montreal? We are also hoping to drive to Quebec City too.

The science museum was the biggest hit for kids. Me and my wife weren't too thrilled with it although the IMAX movie was pretty awesome the kids loved the museum. Lots of hands on stuff for them.
