I went to see the Parisian Caberet Crazy Horse and was supprised by this fabled francophone theatre and its chic bar and restaurant in downtown Montreal. If you<re a fan of Moliere, Rabelais, or Cyrano de Bergerac , this is the place for you.. The plays are not Nouveau Monde, but plays from Old Europe..For more contemporary plays, check out the Theatre Quatre Sous (on Pine Ave) or Theatre Duceppe (Place des Arts complex).

Food is nicely prepared. For lunch, I recommend not taking more than the main course as time might be an issue for adding and eating salad, tea and desert. Something to consider. Nice place.

Even the worse play seen here is better than most Canadian theatre anywhere else. I've lived in Montreal for 2 years now and saw most of the shows at the TNM and they have always excelled.... More

The Théâtre du Nouveau Monde is more than 60 years old now, it présents seasons of both classics, modern and up to date plays. Usually the sets and costumes can be quite stunning and the direction going from good to great to contrived. The Nouveau Monde was founded in another theater building and moved from one to another through the... More

been around for ever. Solid program year after year. Does not deal with avant garde. To boot, excellent restaurant on the premisses for before or after the show
