Inaugurated in 1876, the Mount Royal Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the highly skilled designer behind New York's Central Park. It is an ideal site for admiring a wide variety of plants and birds or for enjoying outdoor activities. Les amis de la montagne offer a variety of services and activities that provide wonderful opportunities to discover the beauty and wealth of resources that the park has to offer, including the new permanent exhibition at the Maison Smith and interactive terminals and map.

There are some amazing views to see if you go off the main paths onto the smaller trails in the woods.

An amazing park , hidden in the middle of a busy city like Montreal. Great views and some nice lakes where you can enjoy the fresh air. Sunday is some special day for people that like the...magic drums.

You get a nice view from the city up here, and there are a number of hiking/walking trails and whatnot. And about a billion stairs. It's a nice place to get some exercise in if it's not too hot!

It's a bit of a walk up the road and stairs, but it's worth it when you get to the top with great views. We also took the time to chill under the trees but a quick snooze on a nice summer day. Perfect!

Made the hike to the top of Mont Royal with my 18-year-old twins. It was a fairly easy walk, although it you go straight up the stairs you may get winded. I'd skip the majority of the stairs and enjoy the paved walkway and the...More
