We visited at the end of a day of exploring Old Montreal. We started the day at the Pointe A Calliere Museum and then the Marguerite Bourgeoys Museum @ Notre Dame Bon Secours. By the time we made it to Centre d'Histoire de Montreal, we...More

It's a small museum in a lovely building. Unfortunately, all you can do is read and there's no other way the city's history is explained. It's definitely not for kids! We didn't feel welcome because there was a guided tour with about 20 people happening...More

Interesting museum while walking by. Very little, but interesting exhibitions of Montreal history, especially immigration and mafia times.

Really enjoyed this museum and the information available. Really enjoyed the "scandal" exhibition on the upper floor, but the whole museum is really well done with great info. Worth a visit!

This is not a very big museum but it is well laid out and very clearly explains the history of the city and the area. The displays are interestingly modern to talk about the past and the experience is very enjoyable.

This is a nice, small museum that provides an affordable & quick historical perspective of Montreal. We went through it in about an hour.

Montreal is full of history and this is a great place to start your visit. Both the permanent and temporary exhibits were great. Only takes 60-90 minutes

Small museum about the histtory of the city of Montreal, I liked it but it's not very interactive though. I really like the temporary exhibition about the vice and crime in Montreal between 1920-40 with a lot of interviews to people that worked at the...More
