Tout est fourni : casque, kit de réparation, pompe, et une carte de pistes cyclables. Le prix sur 5 jours ($200) est très raisonnable vue la qualité du vélo et du service. Je recommande sans hésitation !

The team is pro, even arranged my chain on my second day rental. Everything is included: helmet, repair kit, pump, and a map with cycling paths. The price for a 5 day rental ($200) is very reasonable given the quality of the bike and the service. I highly recommend!

I'm so glad we decided to do this 4 hour bike tour vs a 2 walking tour. Montreal has so much to see, learn about and appreciate. Quebec city can be done in 2 hours walking but that is too restrictive for Montreal. You can cover much more ground plus it makes for a fun experience when on a bike. It was an easy ride with many, many stops a long the way so its not strenuous and accessible to most. Michael was a super guide. We highly recommend him. He filled the day with interesting info, culture, history and an engaging, pleasant and enjoyable personality.
We recommend going in the morning so you can continue on your own with the bike for the rest of the day.

My 17 year old son and I did the 3 hr bike tour of Montreal. It was a fantastic experience that I’d highly recommend. The bikes were super comfy and our guide Mike was very knowledgeable (and impartial) about the history of the City. The tour highlighted the different parts of Montreal that we wanted to see. We were impressed with how safe it is to cycle in Montreal... there are so many bike lanes.

not only would I use the shop again for future services, I would highly recommend the shop to other cyclists traveling to the Montreal area.
I rented a road bike for an extended weekend of riding in the Mount Tremblant area. The rental options were excellent and the carbon fiber argon bike was better than my home steel stead. The bike was ready upon arrival for scheduled pick up. The friendly staff took 5 minutes and ensured that the fit was perfect for the activities ahead. The bike handled incredible well for all 350 km of riding that we did.
The Return was a super easy. And the staff was very accommodating of our need for a quick drop off so we could catch our flight.

The electric bikes were fantastic, the prices were pretty good too. The check in and return process was very easy.
The only reason it isn't a 5 is because of our experience with an employee. We stopped in to see if we could check out bikes, there weren't any of my size available. No big deal for us, we asked about the next day. There were bikes available. We then asked if we could reserve, the employee said it would be easier online and that there would be a discount online. There was no discount, and we believe the employee (due to demeanor and attitude) simply did not want to go through the reservation process with us.
I would recommend renting the bikes, you can cover a lot of beautiful Montreal. Most of the employees were absolutely fantastic and very helpful.

My husband and I always like to take a bicycle tour when we visit a new city to get a little exercise and get the lay of the land so we know where we might want to return and walk around. Ca Roule Montreal was near our hotel, so we signed up for their 3 hour bike tour and absolutely loved it! The lead guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and funny. I learned a lot, saw a lot of the city and had fun for 3 hours. Also got a little exercise, what could be better! I never would have ventured out on my own on a bike across the city. The next day, I went back while my husband had something to do and rented a bike again to explore Lachiine Canal that our guide had pointed out the day before. Everyone at the bike shop is so laid back and helpful. I even learned that tying my sweater around my waste when I bike is not a safe thing to do, so I've stopped doing that. Thank you Ca Roule for all of the above.

We had a great experience with Ca Roule Montreal. Our family rented 5 ebikes for a two-day trip from the shop to Trois Rivieres. On top of the bikes being very reliable, Ca Roule was able to hold a bag for us during this trip. Additionally, due to a schedule mix up they were able to have our bikes dropped off a day later by the guide company (Velo Quebec) with whom they work very well. Michelle did a great job making sure everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend bike rentals at Ca Roule Montreal.

We rented two E Bikes (Opus Case) for 3 days. Bikes were ready when we arranged to pick them up and the instructions and accessories (multi tool, spare inner tube, pump, etc..) were thankfully not needed. We were shown how to use the bikes and away we went. The pedal assist from the battery makes things a lot easier to travel much farther than you generally would, especially in the summer heat. You still have to pedal so it is still good exercise. The issue we had with the bikes is that there was no suspension at all on the forks. Every bump and pot hole is like a body blow. I would say that in the summer of 2021, 50% of Montreal roads, sidewalks, buildings, public squares and parks are under major construction. 50% might be conservative and the 50% that isn't being worked on, needs to be worked on. Its a bumpy pothole filled ride quite often. the other issue I had with my Case Opus bike is that the handle bars could not be raised. As a 6'3" man the seat and frame fit ok, but I spent 3 days hunched over clinging like grim death to handle bars 6" too low. My arms were constantly locked and every pothole elicited a fiery curse at the designer of these bikes. So in summary I highly recommend the nice folks at Ca Roule, very helpful, courteous and eager to point us in the right direction. I do not recommend the Opus Case bikes. After we left I saw they had another brand of E Bike, perhaps that would be a better choice. Montreal is a great city to cycle in, but there is another 5 years of construction from what I saw in 2021. So be prepared for potholes, detours, half finished roads etc, and get the most comfortable, forgiving bike they have.

Hi. Thank you for your comments and review. Bike confort and sizing issue: comments well noted and will be taken in consideration for 2022 bike fleet order. We also have available another model in store which might address some of the issues. Montreal and the construction: like many other North American cities, it's catch up time on infrastructure works. Combined also to the major etrain project ! So yes, detours are present but biking is still great in Montreal. Thank you again for your comments . Best.

Riding around bike-friendly Montreal is a wonderful way to learn about the city. We went on the 4 hour tour and it was well worth it! We rode around the waterfront then went on protected bike lanes to a few different neighborhood. We sampled Montreal's famous bagels from the top bagel bakery. My spouse & I enjoyed meeting the other people on the tour, and we loved our local tour guide Rene! A guided bike tour is the best way to explore the city and learn about its history. The next day we felt confident to go riding on our own (renting BIXI).

Regarding the public city bikes ( BIXI), here,'s some relevant information: Bixi bikes are fine for short rides only and are billed by the minute. For rides of more than hour, we offer a complete bike rental service : better bikes at better rates, kid's bikes with helmets included as well as our one bike path map. We made a reservation for four E bikes for 10:30am on a Sunday. We arrived 15 mins early and they were very busy, so I was glad we had reserved the bikes ahead of time. Everyone at Ca Roule was pleasant and they had the bikes waiting for us, with helmets and a couple of locks. Biking out to the islands was a great experience. The bikes have water bottle holders and small baskets on the back and were easy to use. It was nice to have the pedal assist function, so we could explore more without getting too tired.
I would highly recommend Ca Roule Montreal, the staff was very nice and they are in a great location to explore the waterfront and the islands.

Plus, I agree with the first post. You are on city street and side-by-side with heavy traffic occasionally. Montreal is VERY bike friendly-but depending on your level of experience, that might be nerve-racking.

My wife and I are visiting Montreal for the first time and intend on renting a tandem bike and exploring the city ourselves. Can anyone tell me if places of interest like the Botanical Gardens, Mount Royal etc. have bicycle racks - in other words, are there limitations when biking and visiting points of interest at the same time? We're super excited.

We rent bikes with locks but it's not a full protection against bike theft.
We always advise our customers to have their rental bikes in sight even when locks sre on. Please note that highly recommend reservations.
