We hired 2 bikes for a day and rode down the Lachine Canal then returned via the surf park and Jean Drapeau island. This far exceeded my expectations, the route was far more scenic and less industrial than I had expected. We rode past a lot of lovely scenery and bought a picnic lunch at Marché Atwater.
The bike hire was excellent, better than bixi as 1. It actually works, 2. It includes a helmet and lock, and 3. Does not require a large hold on your credit card as a security deposit.
Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and informative. My wife and I had booked the afternoon 3 hour tour but ended up hiring the bikes for the whole day . The advice from the staff at CaRoule was spot on. The hybrid bikes coped well with the uneven city roads and the gravel paths along the shore line

Overall experience was awesome Mike our tour guide was the best- very knowledable and very accomidating to the group. He was very aattentive to the groups needs. Everbody at the shop was friendly and wanted to make the experiece and positive one. Being able to keep the ebike the whole day after the 3 hour tour was an excellent benefit (including free locks and helmets). The snacks provided were awesome on the day we rode. The trip was exactly what we were looking for- low key and informative. If you are looking for a hard ride this is not the tour for you. The ebikes were well maintained, rugged and easy to ride. Would definitely recommend to others and ask for Mike as your guide if you can.

This was a fun and easy tour of Montreal. I enjoyed learning about the city’s history and going through different parts of the city. René, our tour guide, was excellent and added humor along with history and fun facts to keep us engaged.

We enjoyed this tour. We learned some history and got a bit of exercise too. It was an enjoyable ride and not difficult. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We also liked the fact that we could use the bikes after the tour as well. We Recommend this tour.

We took a 3 hour family bike tour with Mike. He’s kind, informative and fun. He tailored everything to his audience and took the right number of breaks and went the right speed to accommodate the youngest rider. We learned a lot, had fun and felt safe.

Plus, I agree with the first post. You are on city street and side-by-side with heavy traffic occasionally. Montreal is VERY bike friendly-but depending on your level of experience, that might be nerve-racking.

Cancellation policy: bike tour goes "rain or shine". You may cancel at no fee if cancellation request is received by us at least 24 hours before date and time of your reservation. Cancellation request will not be accepted when received by us less than 24 hours before date and time of your reservation and the full amount of your reservation will be payable.

My wife and I are visiting Montreal for the first time and intend on renting a tandem bike and exploring the city ourselves. Can anyone tell me if places of interest like the Botanical Gardens, Mount Royal etc. have bicycle racks - in other words, are there limitations when biking and visiting points of interest at the same time? We're super excited.

We rent bikes with locks but it's not a full protection against bike theft.
We always advise our customers to have their rental bikes in sight even when locks sre on. Please note that highly recommend reservations.
