I had a fantastic time with Ron! His love of Montreal is apparent from the first few moments of the tour, and his knowledge of the history and culture of the city is incredibly deep. I'm a picky eater, and I still loved each and every single one of the stops that we made. What an incredible way to see the city - I'll definitely check out Ron's other tours when I'm back in Montreal.

We had such a great time on this tour! Laura was incredibly knowledgeable about Montréal and shared so much about it's history and culture. It was clear she loves this city and it felt so special hearing about it from her point of view. The food on the tour was excellent- we loved every single stop! We couldn't have asked for a better food tour. It's a must do!

First good tour we went on. Our guide Sandy was excellent and very personable and knowledgeable. She kept us all interested in the tour and also in each of us as travellers. She and our group, through her personal introductions at the start made us feel like family.

It was the right amount of foods and drinks. One suggestion for our taco tasting could have been the addition of a small (very small) sampling of cervaisa! After all it was Elizabeth’s birthday!

We planned two tours with this people one in Montreal and one in Quebec in March. Unfortunately the pandemic came and we was forced to cancel our travel form the US to Canda. Everything in our trip was refunded but this. They refused to refund our money for a service that we literally didn’t get. Fast for 9 months I’m still waiting for my refund. I highly recommend to stay away from this scammers. I try many times to resolve this directly with them and is been completely useless. My advise to you is to avoid a unnecessary headache with this people. I’m sure you can find a more reputable food tour companies in those cities.

David was a wonderful guide and his love for Montreal came through loud and clear. The food stops were well planned and varied, starting with a bagel with lox and cream cheese and ending with a delicious pastry and beer (a strange combination which worked very well), with several local favorites in between. A great way to spend the day!

The Montreal Brewpub Tour was a great way to spend a chilly Saturday afternoon. We went to 3 different brewpubs and sampled their unique beers at tables reserved for our group. We tried 2 beers at each place; the styles were varied and the portion size was just right. We even had an incredible food dish (warm brie with maple syrup and toasted pecans served with French bread) at the second stop, which complemented their first beer offering perfectly.

The amount of walking included on the tour was just right, too, and gave us an opportunity to see some lovely parts of Montreal that we would have missed otherwise. Our excellent guide, Ismael, also provided interesting commentary on both the beers and the establishments, as well as the city. Ismael seemed genuinely interested in the opinions of the group members. His warm and personable demeanor added a lot to an already great experience.

Whether you are a die-hard beer aficionado like my husband or just an occasional quaffer who usually prefers wine like me, I feel confident that you’ll really enjoy this tour. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal.

If you love tasting and discovering local dishes when you travel to new destinations, then you’re going to thoroughly enjoy this food tour. Your guide will also share a bit of the history of Montreal as you make your way along the streets of the city.

For food, beer, wine and history lovers, this historical walking food tour is outstanding. Our guide Isabelle was fun, and just a wealth of knowledge on the city’s history and culture!

First off I want to start off by saying how great Darren, our tour guide was! Very knowledgeable about the neighborhood, the people who lived their, the history - - spot on! He also used to live in the neighborhood which made it even more authentic. We started out at the Green Panther (translated from French) where we ate one of the freshest, most well balanced falafel pita I have tasted and living in Chicago, I have had my fair share for falafel. The ingredients were all local and organic and the price of a full sandwich was only $8 CAN.

After this first stop we walked a few blocks and learned more about the history of Miles End; the inhabitants, the businesses, the cultures, who made up this eclectic part of Montreal. We enjoyed fresh Montreal bagels made in old brick oven, we enjoy chocolate at a wonderful chocolatier (sorry I don't remember the names of the businesses) we stopped in at a local butcher where they use every part of the animal. They use responsibly raised animals and only use natural ingredients when producing their products.

After this we walked to an old theater that has recently been restored, beyond beautiful! Tiffany stained glass on the ceiling. This building is a testament to the development of this neighborhood. After this we walked through the neighborhood, interacting with locals as we walked through the streets and alleys. After this we went to a store where we ate some of the best tomato sauce and Gnocchi ever, and even took home a jar of spicy tomato sauce! After this, we ended it with ice cream from a local shop we had a blend of Madagascar vanilla bean mixed with passion fruit sorbet!

It was the perfect ending to an incredible tour, but it didn't end there. Darren, told us about the 2nd largest open air market in North America behind one in Mexico, I believe. It was a short bus ride up the street and in no time we were in "Little Italy" and walking around this incredible market place and seeing the non touristy side of Montreal! It was only because of this tour and Darren's knowledge of the city/area that we were able to experience what I found to be one of the highlights of our trip!

This is one tour you most do. If you enjoy living like a local, exploring the city's history, and enjoying great tasting food. Take this tour!!!!!!!

After booking the Mile End tour with this group, we found that the directions included in the email following our confirmation for this tour were terrible. If you are not traveling in Montreal with a car, the walk from the metro is too complicated according to the directions which are provided by this tour group. After leaving the metro and getting lost, I had to call the company and they could not give me directions to the meeting point from where I was. I was told that my best option was to take a cab and hope that I got there before the group left the first stop. However, the first meeting point is a restaurant chain with multiple locations. So, once I was in a cab and saw a restaurant with the same name as the meeting place, I assumed that I had arrived. I was rudely told on the phone that there were multiple locations and I had to meet the group at another stop, but that the guide would save our food and bring it with them when we caught up. Thank God for the kind, local people of Montreal who helped me get on a bus which helped me get to the third stop on the food tour. I was able to backtrack and meet up with the group on the second stop, a lovely chocolate shop which I would have loved to have purchased gifts and goodies, however, you are not allowed to shop on the tour. Our guide then told my partner and I that our sandwiches from the first stop were waiting at the restaurant and that she instructed the people at the restaurant not to throw them out. She neglected to ever tell us how to get there to retrieve them. Maybe they're still waiting. The tour stops at a couple great spots in Mile End but the businesses are being hurt by this tour because none of the customers get to shop during the tour and a large majority, including myself, do not have the time to return to the stores after the tour. The tour covers a ridiculous amount of territory in Mile End, so once the tour is finished, you are so tired and far away from those delicious shops from the beginning of the tour, that you cannot go. One of the stops is an out of the way historic movie theatre, and while it was extremely nice, I'm unsure what that has to do with a walking food tour. Your lunch includes gnocchi which you are given on a nice glass plate but must eat on the curb of a busy street because there is no where to sit. If you DO decide to book this tour, be sure to bring lots of water because a scarce amount of water is provided at a few stops to ration amongst you and the other 17 people on the tour. While our guide was knowledgeable and had interesting things to say about the neighborhood, this tour has definite ways to improve. The tour groups are too big, and you need to be able to buy things you sample.

Thank you for reviewing our tour! First, we want to apologize that your experience wasn’t as enjoyable as you’d expected. You, our tour participant are at the heart of our tours, as you’re the whole reason the tours were created! Our goal is to provide you with a genuine experience of the Mile End’s products and artisans, as well as a taste of Montreal itself. We regret that the directions to the meeting location were unclear to you, and that you had a negative experience with one of our staff. We’ve updated our directions to the meeting location, so that future participants can benefit from clearer directions. Unfortunately, because the first stop was missed, a vital introduction of the tour was also missed. A presentation and explanation of our relationship with the vendors, and how we take pride in our partnerships with them was explained, along with the fact that we actually do contribute to their business with our tours, as we pay for all food tastings provided. The no shopping policy is also discussed at this time. We explain that in order to ensure a smooth running of the tour (our vendors prepare all the food fresh for us) as well as to respect the local clients wanting to access the locations, shopping is not permitted, but we hope everyone returns to the locations afterwards, or later during their stay. To this end, there are discount coupons in the menu we hand out. We apologize that you were left thirsty, this is an experience we definitely don’t want our participants to have. We’ve taken your comment into consideration (along with summer weather!) and have tripled the water stops on the tour. We hope the rest of your stay in Montreal was enjoyable, and thank you for your feedback.

This has been my first time in Montréal (actually in Québec; I come from Catalunya) and I had the great chance to take part in this tour of the Quartier des Spectacles. I didn't look for the tour but I was reccomended to go, and I must say it was a really pleasant surprise.

Ismael brings you through the popular and the hidden, the old and the new, and shares a fresh and close point of view of this Quartier while helps you understand the reasons behind it. Besides, we all spent a nice time chatting and sharing questions and opinions so I felt really comfortable during these (you wouldn't say so) 2 hours.

This has probably been the most genuine way to get to know this amazing city a little better. Don't miss it!
