Yes, it is on a boat. Locker room a bit cramped. You must pay extra to use steamroom, sauna, and hot tubs (this is the water circuit). Message therapist was great. Would go back, you will need a bathing suit for water circuit and it is for male and female, but message part is normal without clothing, if you want.... More

Dear "jshayden", Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience at Bota Bota. As you might know, the looker rooms are in the ship's hold, where the engines used to be. This may be why you felt they were a bit cramped. As of the water circuit, some people come to Bota Bota, without a... More

Montreal is an island, with history in its Old Port. This is how the first inhabitants came to colonize this metropolis. How better to appreciate the city by relaxing in hot tubs, saunas, etc., with amazing views of Montreal and the Saint-Lawrence river? The concept itself of this spa - built in a boat - confers a very elegant atmosphere,... More

We managed to survive the walk through -20 degree weather to the spa, and it was worth the trip. The cold and snow definitely enhanced the experience, with the views of the frozen city from the warm saunas. The swedish massage was probably the best I have had and facilities were all wonderful, including the saunas, outdoor garden (worth the... More

What better thing to do on a -30 degree day than relax outside in hot tubs! Every cute spa. Locker rooms and corridors are cramped but the spa is built into a ship so that should be expected. We went on Valentine's Day so it was understandably crowded. Being outside in the frigid weather was a unique experience...the garden area... More

I went to the boat to see if they had any openings for a massage. The girls at the front front desk said yes. Very pleased, I said great and booked the appointment. I was given a robe but no slippers or rubber sandals, so I guess they expect you to walk around barefoot. I wore my socks. Then, when... More

This is a nice spa downtown Montreal. The sky line is nice when it gets dark out, while it is still daylight it isn't as beautiful. I am glad that I went but I wouldn't return. It is rather small and therefore we couldn't get to use the hot spa on the 4th floor as it was always full. The... More

Frequently passing by this spa, I decided to finally try it! I go frequently to massages and I hadn't tried this spa yet. The idea of being on a boat intrigued me. This spa is so well designed, it manages to be avant-guard but comfortable. Cameras/photos/cell phones are not permitted, but in real life there are moments & spaces that are even more Wes-Anderson-Film-Cool in essence than the professional photos that you can see online. Hot shell massage was relaxing and divine.

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above.
