About
The tiny Roman Catholic Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel is one of the most ornate pieces of religious architecture in the city. It was built in 1876 and decorated with brightly colored murals by the artist Napoléon Bourassa. The chapel is a dazzling mixture of Roman and Byzantine styles. Daily 8-5. Métro: Berri-UQAM.

This is one of the most beautiful tributes to Our Lady of Lourdes I have ever seen. A real treasure for this city that was once named for the Blessed Virgin.

Very close to a major hub like Berri, you clearly spot the elegant structure of the Church. The interiors is a relaxing place with frescoes on the walls and ceiling. It is worth stopping by and check it out.

The building from the street is elegant, with its formal facade and massive dome in the center of the building. We entered and the building is equally inspiring inside. It is a monument to the faithful, and its frescos, architectural details and soaring roof up to the dome, truly breathtaking.

Very beautiful inside. Went for mass on Sunday as it was only a block from the hotel. Best way to experience a Catholic Church is by doing so in my opinion.

I always love churches and their grandeur styles. This one is filled with color and paint, definitely worth a look and a quiet rest or prayer.

It's a good place if you want some quietness, and rest after moving around for the whole day, it gave me a kind of warm feel as compared to those that were more of a tourist attraction.

I have passed beside it a lot in my numerous visits to Montreal, but after seeing many churches in Europe I paid attention to it. It is definitely a gem without attention. It has excellent decorations in its interior.
