The photography tours take place by foot or by car and the locations can always be customized to suit your favorite subject matter.If you are looking to brush up on your photography basics or advanced skills, it's patiently included at no extra charge. If you are simply hunting for fabulous photography locations in Montreal and want to shoot some of Montreal's best spots with Marko as a guide, that too is easily arranged. All photo tours are booked by appointment only and personally given by Marko Kulik.

To start off, Marko is a friendly, personable guy. Ask him anything, and he has clear and concise answers ready. After a few minutes of talk, he already seemed to know what was missing in making my photos okay to great! While going to several locations, his teaching in camera settings, composition and technique were invaluable! I highly recommend Marko for this photo tour and I personally want to do more tours in the future (Night photography)! A fantastic experience!

I've been wanting to improve my photography skills for quite some time and was looking for someone to take a private lesson with. I saw the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to book a 2 1/2 hour photo tour with Marko. It was everything I hoped it would be. I learned so much and Marko was able to help me get away from shooting on automatic and understand how I could use shutter and aperture priority (something I'd been trying to do for a long time but hadn't been able to master). Marko is extremely conscientious and professional, had everything planned in advance so that no time was wasted, and had a really good way of explaining things so that they were easy to understand. As other people have mentioned, I was also really impressed that he sent me a .pdf document that summarized all the things I had learned, so I didn't need to worry about taking notes while we were shooting. The document also suggested other places in the city where there would be good photo opportunities. I'm looking forward to practicing everything I learned during my session and look forward to booking another lesson down the road. I recommend Photo Tour Montreal very highly and encourage anyone who is hesitating to go ahead and make the booking. You will be very happy that you did.

I booked this photo tour of Montreal for my little nephew who is eight years old and for myself.
I remember that my nephew said three hours and a half will be a long day!
But once we were done he couldn’t believe it went by so fast!
We had a great time, Marko took us to spots around the city that were new to us even though we live in Montreal!
Thank you again for all the wonderful tips you have given us.

ErnestoGilSv, apologies for this late response. I had a blast with your young nephew, he was so attentive and into the photo tour experience. Time flying by is always a great sign and I hope he may have found a new hobby.

I opted for the driving tour and it was well with it! The depth and breadth of Marko's knowledge of photography is great. He gave me the tools I need to become a better photographer. He targeted exactly what I needed and adapted to my style of learning. Marko is kind, courteous and patient. I'm not a novice photographer but I'm not a professional but I did learn a lot from Marko and I highly recommend this tour!

My friend and I prearranged the night photo driving tour with Marko Kulik after reading his reviews online. On September 30, we visited 6 sites over 4 hours, more difficult to reach by Metro transit. He generously shared photography experiences, camera settings if needed and acted as model for long exposure motion images. This was a fun way to begin our photography week in Montreal. Also he forwarded us a link to his e-book and gave additional places to see over the week.

I took both Marko's day and night photo tours of Montreal. These tours were very enjoyable and Marko took me places that I would not have discovered or known about myself. I have been shooting for a long time but badly needed to revise techniques. Marko, with his indepth knowledge of composition and photo technique, is not only a great photographer but also a great teacher. I relearned much of what I had fotgotten and also got to some wonderful locations in Montreal. I highly recommend Marko and Photo Tour Montreal.

My photo tour experience with Marko was like no other! When you walk away from an experience feeling inspired and driven you know your time and money was well spent!
The most rewarding gift I have been given from my husband was to get time with Marko and learn through his experiences. Marko is full of knowledge, experience, genuine passion for photography and is generous in sharing this gift. I will definitely take the time to learn from Marko on our next visit to Montreal. **The date stated for visit is not accurate. I am horribly late with this review, I took the tour in April of 2017

My husband and I booked a tour with Marko as we didn't have a lot of time in Montreal and wanted to experience the best of the city with a local. We were not disappointed. Marko met us at our hotel and became familiar with our skills. He had planned a great itinerary based on our discussions through email. Marko took us to some amazing places where we could work on different kinds of photography such as landscapes, wildlife and night shots. We absolutely loved visiting Montreal, due largely to Marko's outstanding skills in guiding us to some of the most picturesque places to see. We would highly recommend Marko to beginners and experienced photographers alike. He went out of his way to ensure that we had a great time and at the end, we felt like friends. To then received a PDF after the tour on composition was an added bonus. Marko also suggested other places to visit whilst we were in Montreal, which were amazing and places that we wouldn't have visited without his personal recommendation. Montreal is an amazing city, made even better by spending time with Marko! We are so happy with the photos that we took that were guided by him. Thank you.

This was a great tour! Marko enabled me to the take the "hope" out taking pictures, i.e. "I hope I took a great picture". His instructions were concise and understandable. With all the years I've had my camera, a Nikon D90, he helped me understand it better and made it less intimidating. Marko also gave great tips on how to compose a photo. All in all, Marko is an and great teacher and I highly recommend this awesome photo tour!

Marko was a terrific photo coach as well as a guide with a wealth of knowledge of photography and Montreal. I found my time with him to be an awesome experience. It is amazing that he can adapt to different skill levels of photographers. From my Montreal time with him, I think I achieved some memorable shots. I would recommend him and look forward to a return visit to such a beautiful city and working with him again.
