I would recommend KSF to all surf lovers. From beginners to advanced surfers, the private and group classes are just awesome!
I am so happy with my classes, I will take a few more very soon.
They care, they are competent and it is obvious that the staff is happy to teach and surf! Makes such a difference 🙂
Pierre-Phillipe Loiselle knew how to adapt my class to my needs and really took the time to educate me on the terminology, techniques, and corrected me all throughout the class. I learned so much, and it was so much fun!!!
They rent quality equipment onsite which makes it a hassle-free one stop place to get equipment, learn and have fun in a safe environment.
Thank you to the whole team!

This place was a bit hard to find... kind of like a shed behind the blue building... but so worth it!
All equipment was sanitized and staff was very careful with the pandemic guidelines. My daughter and I rented SUP, and paddled for an hour. It's a scenic location with calm water. Highly recommended, we'll definitely go again!

I went out with a KSF group on 'Adventure Paddle. All young French speakers on a pretty tough paddle. Water was warm and we fell in a lot. Larrie (sp?), our teacher, was so impressive....she said everything in French and then would repeat in English just for me. Thanks Larrie - you rock!!! First 40 minutes was super difficult across the lake, then we floated down the river back to KSF. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I had a wonderful time! Highly recommend...I will absolutely be back on my next visit to Montreal.

We booked the short trip from KSF in Montreal at Pointe-Nord. Mathieu was our guide taking us out at dusk for a short paddle and then mooring at buoys near the Zodiac. We were provided with sit-on-top kayaks, life jackets and paddles, a light on each boat an a dry bag if needed. Though this trip was certainly not a long one, and not about the kayaking, it was a lovely and memorable experience to be out on the water after dark, and then to watch the fireworks after dark before returning back to the dock.

Their kayak teacher is one of the best in the game, their staff is friendly and even if it might seem a bit expensive it's not trust me their rates are better the most of the other companies advertising these activities
overall There ever a negative to trying something new here.

Booking this in English over the phone was very difficult. After 2 phone calls and repeating my info multiple times, I finally got us confirmed but the documents e-mailed were all in French. So we felt a little unprepared on arrival. Basically, eat some carbs, bring about $10 each if you want wetsuits and wear or bring swimsuits. The gear they provided was good, the experience was a lot of fun and the instructors were awesome. Friendly, encouraging and ran through everything in French and English.

Note: the location is about a half hour from old Montreal by car. they helped us call a cab to return. I would go again and recommend.

KSF offers kayak, SUP and surf experience on the river; I rented kayaks with my son and we had a wonderful afternoon on the river. Not to be missed; you will discover birds, vegetation, and a totally different view point on the city. KSF offers a guide for small group too which would be very convenient since the river has many currents you want to avoid if you want to go further. They have evenings at full moon on the river and other fun expeditions. Really worth it!

Our group of six to learn Stand Up Boarding in a large bay had a wonderful instructor. We first had about 30 minutes on the land with instructions on size of paddles, how to hold and use them. Then we were in the water for an hour and a half, trying the basic stances and paddling, then more complicated manuvering. Lots of falling into the water for everyone. It felt like standing in a tippy canoe, eventually you find some balance, just takes practice. We were brought up the river about a kilometer and paddled down through the fast moving water. Wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, but still not for the meek of heart. Just follow the instructor and everything turned out fine. You need to be comfortable in and on the water and in fair physical condition. When I finished the session I was sore in a few places, but felt I had a good work out. Was fairly surprised at this.

This kayaking course is an amazing experience, but a little bit physically demanding doing Both courses in one day. NotÄ™ you need to be comfortable in the water.
