One afternoon at the beginning of December, I received an email from Andre informing me that he was available to lead tours! Borders being shut, he also explained that he is really missing showing (HIS) city, meeting with people, and encouraging a local business as it is the thing to do during this exceptional year My sister and I have had a few tours with Andre over the years, so I called her and we arranged to have my nephew and his wife join in. I emailed Andre back informing him that we would love a walking tour.. He called me within the next few minutes, delighted, and proposed to us his "Old to New walking tour", putting an emphasis on Christmas Holiday installations along the way. We thought it was a lovely idea and we met with him in Old Montreal. The weather outside was warm, +3C, and cloudy. He had planned an almost perfect balance of outdoors and indoors. It was very pleasant revisiting the underground city (which Andre calls the Interior City). Unlike our previous visits, however, it was strange to see that there were hardly any crowds. Some of the best Christmas decorations were in a huge shopping mall in the Festival District. There, we were able to sit and enjoy a coffee, socially distanced! Afterwards, we walked along Sainte-Catherine street and enjoyed some very lovely window displays. The best display was the one in the old Ogilvy Store now located just outside the McCord Museum. Overall we had a great time obtaining insights into the city, learning some of its history, and meeting up again with charming Andre. Denise

We are from Montréal and know André for a while at our local doggy park. He was always mentioning how much he loves leading tours and how much he missing doing since the beginning of the pandemic. As locals we figured that we already knew everything Montréal. How wrong where we. André suggested that we do the Old to the New walking tour and so we started in Old Montréal and finished at Dorchester Square. We had never, ever expected that it would be so interesting and the time went so fast. So many stories and details that we never notice as locals and just take for granted. He obviously had lots of fun, he is genuine, the weather was exceptional and it was a perfect way to spend the day outside during this second lockdown (all restaurants, bars, cinemas have been closed for almost 4 weeks now). We should of done a tour like this a long time ago I certainly recommend this as a family activity

We went on a tour with Andre with our family - 2 adults and 3 kids. He was so great! Right from the beginning of our trip - before we even left home- he answered questions for us and tried to customize the perfect tour for us according to our interests. We started with a walking tour of old Montreal which was very informative. He took us into buildings that we would never have walked into ourselves and gave us just the right amount of information. Not too much, not too little. We then continued on to a driving tour of some sites of montreal. Again, it was so nice to have the history of the city explained to us! I highly recommend Andre’s tours. We never would’ve had the same experience trying to tour the city on our own. Plus Andre gave us excellent tips for places to eat and how to get around the underground city. This definitely came in handy!! Thanks again Andre for a great tour!!

I wanted to show the best of Montreal to my American friends and I called Andre. We settled for the next day and it was a great walking tour in Old and New Montreal. The tour was done in English and tailored to our special interests. The tour lasted 3 hours the weather was beautiful and we finished the tour at a restaurant highly recommended by Andre. I do recommend booking with him, it is always a pleasure!

Last summer, my family and I decided to visit the Montreal area.  We wanted to get out of the city and Andre had quite a few options for us.  So we ended up in a region about 30 minutes out of the city, visiting an historic village along an affluent of the mighty S-Laurent river.  Then we went to visit a cider house where we learned about growing and transforming apples, not to forget a little bit of tasting of the products along the way. When time came for a bite, we all went to this fantastic home made food, fresh and local produce paradise of a shop.  Andre had organized a hamper with glasses, plates, utensils and the likes. We ended up for a gorgeous lunch in the middle of an orchard at one of the local apple house and what can I say besides it was heaven!!! This was memorable and MERCI Andre
