On our recent impromptu visit to Montreal over the holidays we were unable to get spots to the highly recommended food tours. How lucky were we to find this beer tour, which also included some light food along the way, including a tasty sampling of the much lauded poutine. We visited three classy brewpubs, imbibed some solidly good beer, and... More

I recently returned from Montreal with a group of 6 friends. We did the Brewpub Experience with Andre. He was AMAZING. Very funny and very knowledgable. We had a great group of ~18 people (not too crowded). We stopped at fabulous Brewpubs and had some tasty food along the way. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Had a great time on this tour with our family of 5. Our tour guide Sebastian was knowledgeable and entertaining, and did a good job balancing sharing info about the beers & beer types without being too snobbish or technical. He also was very generous in providing advice/recommendations on other things to do & places to eat. Tour made three... More

This tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Montreal. Our guide Adrienne was awesome and the locations that we visited were truly authentic and had a great selection of beers (and supplementary bites). I would definitely book again if we are ever back in the area.

Had a wonderful time, learned quite a bit and enjoyed the People we had in our group. Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, and very good at her job, the beer was varied and the pairings were delicious.

We travelled to Montreal with a few couples and 1/2 of us signed up for this afternoon walking tour. We really got more than we expected. The tour guide was passionate about craft brew and really made the tour fun, relaxed, entertaining and informational. Options for good food and great beer are endless in this town. I would highly recommend.

I organized a trip for a group of friends and wanted to have a fun afternoon activity. This tour was fantastic. The six beers we tasted were delicious (as were the food pairings), the brewpubs were quite nice, and the tour had just the right amount of walking. The best part was our tour guide Andreanne (sp?), who was a... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
