Excellent Place for brews. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. They do not cook food. It's like take out service. You order (they give you menu) from another restaurant and a delivery person brings it to you at bar. Food is fair.

We stopped here toward the end of a very long excursion through the city and thoroughly enjoyed it! The scene is a mix of university students and professionals young and old chilling out and enjoying each others company. It is relaxed and pleasant; a hidden gem. It was crowded and lively, yet service was prompt. If you are looking for... More

Stopped for drinks before heading to a show. The indoor space didn't seem great, but the patio in the back was packed with people enjoying the weather and a beer. Seemed popular with locals and would be a great place to hang out with a group of friends away from all the tourist activity.

Visiting the Just For Laughs festival and needed to cool down before the show at the nearby St Catherine theatre and was recommended to this place. Cool, *cool*, dark inside with a gorgeous patio outside, this place was perfect for a pint

Came on a Sunday evening for drinks, loved the ambiance and the music. Good for all the rockers out there. Service was so-so but the drink selection was nice. Prices were what you'd expect from Montreal. The atmosphere and the setting alone is enough to make this place a unique and a must for a bar hop/pub crawl with your... More

I just love this place! Nice atmosphere, great selection on draft, the staff knows how to pour a proper beer! The staff is also very frienly and fast. When you are new to the place they bring you the drinksmenu in just a sec. They have a really nice garden terrase and you don't see that very often in big... More

It actually breaks my heart that the management and service staff are, year by year, ruining this awesome place. It used to be a place that I would recommend to everyone. But more and more, I've been quite embarrassed to bring anyone here because of the poor service. Do not expect to be greeted at all, or see any of... More

Dark, busy and atmospheric, this place is tucked off Saint Catherine down a side street. Lovely little bar, good music, and a gorgeous waitress!

The waitress is terrible. I went with friends and 2 of my friends needed a chair. So we asked the waitress if we can get 2 chairs and she said no not enough room and I cannot circulate. There was enough room because later we got the chairs ourselves and put it to our table. She was very rude.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
