Our tour of Old Quebec with Michel was the best investment of time and money that we made in our visit to this city. He brought 400 years of history to life with compelling stories and graphics, and did it all with such good humor and charm that he belied the stereotype of history teachers. The arrangements were simple and swift, and he really added a whole new dimension of appreciation for a city which we were already very much taken with. This was a great experience!

My husband and I are not great "tourists" but thought it would be a good idea to have a tour to learn more about this gorgeous city. Michel was great! He provided very interesting information on the history of Quebec and an awesome walking tour of the city. Michel is very knowledgeable, a wonderful guide and an overall great guy. I highly recommend him!

We arranged our tour through our hotel concierge, and really benefitted from Michel's thorough understanding of Quebecs history and culture. The unexpected introduction to his family's story and his pride in the area's culture and lifestyle enriched our time together, and we will remember our tour when we think of Quebec City. We've used private guides in many cities around the world, and this tour ranks with the best.

Michel led a fantastic walking tour. Made Old Québec so much more meaningful than just wandering around the touristy areas and looking in souvenir shops.

We did the 400 years of history tour, and we learned so much about American and Canadian history. Highly recommend Michel for “not your average tourist.”

Thank you Wendy. It's always a pleasure to welcome Bostonian's and talk about the 400 years of History that Canadians share with the Americans. No taxation without representation.... No Qc City tour without Michel ! :)

Michel Sirois's knowledge of the history of Quebec and its place in Canada was enlightening and entertaining. As a Canadian I think I learned more in our 3 hour tour of Quebec than I did in high school. Michel's charts and maps helped us understand and visualize everything that was in front of us. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody wanting to understand Quebec and its unique place within Canada.

Michel is an excellent guide. He has deep, cross-cultural understanding of the history and his passion for the city and its history is readily evident. I learned a lot (which I always enjoy) and he kept us all engaged.

I experienced two tours with Tours Levis Quebec: this one focused on history and a second focused on art and architecture. Despite the routes overlapping sometimes. the depth of knowledge, details and stories relayed to us complemented each other.

During an unseasonably blustery day, he kept our spirits up despite the wet and windy day, kept us moving to keep warm, and paused in sheltered areas whenever he had a longer story to tell. My experience was with a more semi-private tour; we were a group of 12 but he was able to keep everyone engaged (and he remembered our names!) despite the group size.

I heartily recommend this tour to everyone I know who visits Quebec City. This introduction to the history of Quebec and Canada will increase your enjoyment of the city measurably.

Brenda, Judith and I were very happy to offer the Art & Architecture and the History & Heritage tours during the Women in Travel Summit last week in Québec City. We were fortunate to showcase our lovely - and historically important - city to experienced travelers like you. Your comment is really appreciated and made our day! Do not hesitate to contact us if you come back to Québec City! Michel

Our hotel recommended this tour as an in-depth experience, as opposed to a less in-depth experience. The tour was the highlight of our trip to Quebec City. Michel was prompt, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and tireless. He spoke in English for my benefit but also French for the enjoyment of my wife, a French teacher. As US citizens we enjoyed learning about how American and Quebec history intersected. The tour lasted 4 hours, probably in part because we were having so much fun and had so many questions. Once home, I recommended the tour to a colleague, and he also said it was the highlight of his trip. Michel is a great tour guide, no doubt. Bravo!

Hello, Thank you very much to provide this nice review of my TWO NATIONS-ONE STORY tour! I'm always happy to introduce "my" City to the US citizens - especially those coming from the 13 colonies :) - and share our perspectives of the same story! Happy to hear your friends also appreciated. Michel

We met in the Old Town after lunch as a group of 6. From there J. walked us through centuries of North American history in only hundreds of metres before we ascended to New Town saw and learned of the history of trade, war, governance, education, health, religion and social services and changes in the latter since the mid 1960ies.

With knowledge of the St Lawrence River system through to the Great Lakes and north and west thereof as well the upper Mississippi River and its connection to the Gulf of Mexico held by the French in Quebec, mastery of North America appeared a possibility, subsequently denied by the British capture of Quebec in 1759.

And the story continues............. as skilfully shown and told by J., who then left us on the Governor's Walk outside Chateau Frontenac to consider our new knowledge and experience.

Peter, Judith was very happy to read your detailed review of our tour. It's true to say that Qc City has been a coveted stronghold along the St.Lawrence River during the French & British colonial periods. I would add that Qc City is now a coveted travel destination - rated #1 Destination in Canada in 2016 and 2017 by Travel & Leisure magazine's readers. It's always a pleasure to share our 400 years of history and French heritage.
