My sister and I had an excellent time on our tour with Thomas. Thomas was entertaining and very knowledgeable. It was an unexpectedly chilly/windy night, and Thomas took great care to find places to stop where we were better sheltered from the wind - which helped us stay warm enough to finish the tour. Thanks, Thomas!

Thomas was our tour guide and we are so thankful for such a wonderful experience! The tour highlights areas that one may not have found if exploring on their own. While the city is already picturesque and rich in history, the way in which Thomas recounted the tales of long ago added to the experience. He draws you in with his energy, knowledge, and his puns!
We would absolutely take this tour again! Thank you, Thomas!

Thomas gave a great tour last night in old Quebec. I visit old Quebec often, but have never visited the back alleys. My family received a great story from Thomas on what life was like in 18th century Quebec.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Ghost Tour of Quebec. It is a fantastic way to spend an evening walking the cobblestone streets and learning a little about the dark history of the city. Thomas was our tour guide and he was both entertaining and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

We had an awesome time! Emma was a fantastic story teller, and we enjoyed every second of the tour. They also happily rebooked us when we were unable to make out initial reservation at the last second. I would highly recommend this tour!

Michael was a great story teller and really has the voice to spook you out. Very enjoyable experience, which we never planned for and just decided to do last minute through total coincidence. Recommended if you are in the city for a couple of days.

Had a great time on a Ghost Tour of Quebec. Our guide was Michael. He gave us a great show, made it very fun, while also telling us stories about some sinister happenings in Old Quebec. Highly recommend!! If anything, 1.5 hours felt too short and went by quick. I wouldn’t have complained if it was longer.

We went on a lovely summer evening with tour guide Michael who was friendly and charming but a little too over-the-top theatrical for our tastes- The act came off as a little inorganic or disingenuous. With that being said he was quite well-rehearsed, well-spoken, and easy to hear and understand, so from a logistical perspective he nailed it.
The route itself was my favourite part, with each stop being in a quiet, unique location where it was easy to hear the stories and hard to get distracted by other visitors to the downtown area. Whoever planned the map of this route gets an A+ from me!
I was pretty underwhelmed by the stories themselves, in terms of actual ghost stories. There were stories about hangings and executioners and a shipwreck and all that, which are great to sprinkle in to ghost tours, but they shouldn’t be the main diet in the tour. The word “ghost” wasn’t even mentioned until our 4th or 5th stop and 50 minutes into the tour, and it wasn’t even a ghost at our location. I suppose that leaves me with my final thought, that I only recall us stopping at one haunted location in the tour, which was the church at the end. It appears that in years past tours finished inside, which seems amazing, but have stopped for COVID precautions and end outside it, which is also very cool anyway. It was by far my favourite stop of the tour since the history, ghosts, and location all connected. I wish that had happened more than just once, as again all the stops were made were quiet and picturesque- perfect for ghost stories we did not get.

We had a great time on this ghost tour. Thomas was a fantastic storyteller! Be aware that the walk includes a few steep hills.

My wife and I will be arriving in Quebec City on 10/25/17 at 1pm, and leaving the next day 10/26/17 at 10pm. We are interested in signing up for the "Ghost Tours of Quebec" on 10/25 at 8pm. Will be arriving on the NCL Gem, and was wondering if the pier we dock at is close to your meeting place, where your tour starts? Will the tour be in English? What is the approximate distance we will be walking? Do you know if any other cruise ships will also be at the port then? Thanks for your help! Morris

Hello Morris and MickyMike!
Thank you so much for inquiring about our tour!
We have an English public tour that departs every night at 8:00 from the park across the street from 94, rue du Petit Champlain. (Our UpperTown tour is only offered in French for the time being.) We ask that everyone be on site at least 10 minutes prior to departure. Our walking tour lasts 90 minutes. We begin in the LowerTown and finish in the UpperTown (not far from the Château Frontenac). Our route is around 2-2.5 km long and we do climb a hill. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.
There is a good chance that there will be a private tour catered for passengers of your ship, where a top-hatted guide will pick you up at the terminal and return you to the terminal after the tour. Please enquire with the activity coordinator of your ship for more information. Otherwise, you're welcome to join our public tour at 8pm. Safe travels!

Hi Sarah,
was the tour in English? We are going this week and would like to do it if it is in English.

Hello Lorna,
Thank you so much for contacting us!
Our English public ghost tour runs nightly at 8pm from May 1st until October 31st.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors (+65). Children 10 and under can join free of change as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Our tour is a lot of fun! We tell you all sorts of bizarre, spooky and try stories from Quebec's past. We lead our groups by lantern light through the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec. It is a great way to learn the stories history books have tried to forget! We tell you stories of treason, of murder, of executions and of course of ghostly apparitions!
Our tour begins in the Petit Champlain District in the Lower Town of Old Quebec and it lasts 90 minutes. We begin in front of 94, rue du Petit Champlain. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Your top hatted guide will be expecting you, his or her lantern lit in anticipation of your arrival. Our tour runs rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. We also climb a hill during our tour. Please wear appropriate footwear. We finish our tour in the UpperTown, not far from the Château Frontenac.
If you wish to reserve, we simply ask for a credit card number to secure all reservations. You can call us at our office, toll free at 1-855-692-9770 from Monday to Friday from 10-5 to provide us with that information, or you can purchase your tickets directly from our website.
We look forward to spoooooking you very soooooooon!
