My wife and I, along with my brother and his girlfriend went on the English ghost tour on Saturday, August 29th.
It was a dreadful windy and rainy night. Luckily for us the weather kept the other people who had signed up for the tour away, and we had the whole thing to ourselves. I have to say the wind and rain added a little bit to the creepy factor.
Our guide was wonderful. I wish I had committed her name to memory so I could thank her properly. She was very knowledgeable and engaging with her story telling. We are not a very serious group of people, and the guide was able to switch from answering questions to performing without skipping a beat.
We seemed to cover a pretty good amount of the Old Town with several stops along the way for stories. What I enjoyed the most was that the guide took us to walk down some seemingly unsuspecting streets and alleyways that we would not have otherwise explored on our own and would have had no frame of reference for their significance.
The guide managed to make the tour spooky and creepy without resorting to cheesy "jump scares". She used the stories, natural environment, and good positioning to make us feel that creep factor. While the tour had some spooky moments, it was overall just a fun time with good stories and a different look at the city.
I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a good creepy story and walk around a cool city.

We are proud that you liked your experience. Kristen is a wonderful storyteller. The weather can sometimes be harsh in Quebec, but rainy evenings make for the best ghost tours!

This tour was absolutely incredible. The tour guide kept us entertained the entire time while we laughed and gasped though out the story. Not only did Thomas tell us the spooky stories of Quebec City but he also gave us a very interesting overview of the history of the city. I highly recommend this tour if your looking to do something interesting in the city at night.

We had a great time on our ghost walk. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The stories were excellent and well told. Thomas, our guide, genuinely seemed to enjoy his work and engaged his audience. Thomas' voice and expression were strong and his execution clearly well-rehearsed and planned as his attention to detail was evident. We feel this was good value for money spent.

This tour is a must in Quebec City! Denis was an amazing tour guide and story teller. He really gave a different outlook on Quebec’s history and took the group to areas of the city that really showed the interesting and spooky side of Quebec over the past centuries. Do this tour rain or shine!!

The tour was awesome! Micheal, the story teller, was very engaged and entertaining, you could tell he loves doing these walks and enjoys telling all the stories. Lots of walking, however most of the stops had stairs that one could sit on to take a break. Would recommend to anyone visting the city who appreciates a good laugh and spooky stories!

Excellent tour! We were fortunate enough to have Thomas as our guide. He is an incredible storyteller! He starts out with the History of the area that you’re visiting, and moves seamlessly into character. I LOVE a good scare, and Thomas did not disappoint! His ability to set the mood is unparalleled. I really can’t say enough about him. I wish that I could have videotaped the entire tour so that I could have shared it with friends and family, because there is no way that I can give his storytelling justice!! We were left sitting on the edge of our seats (literally) with every story!

We had a blast. Michael was a great tour guide and storyteller, and we got to see beautiful parts of the city at night that we otherwise would not have.
There was a lot of walking (of course) but we stopped frequently enough and often even sat down during each story, so it wasn't too strenuous.

Our guide Mike was great. He is a wonderful storyteller whose manner and ease immediately drew the group together as we hung on to each word and sometimes to each other. t was a great way to see the Old City at night and learn the history of this amazing city. I particularly appreciated the visit to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Will recommend it to all my friends

Our tour guide is Thomas and he is fantastic! He is great at acting and telling stories, very humorous. He was very considerate of the need and experience of all the audience and he keeps the pacing of the tour just right, with many details that really intrigue us. Also a great way to learn about the history of the city. Highly recommend!

I extremely enjoyed this tour led by our amazing guide Thomas! He is knowledgeable and interesting when story telling. I was inspired by some history and go google it after the tour. I can easily feel that he was full of energy and passion, and everything just go smoothly. It rained yesterday and he led us for a longer time, but there was no urging in the tour. I truly recommend this tour to whom may want to experience and get deeply understanding of Old Quebec!

My wife and I will be arriving in Quebec City on 10/25/17 at 1pm, and leaving the next day 10/26/17 at 10pm. We are interested in signing up for the "Ghost Tours of Quebec" on 10/25 at 8pm. Will be arriving on the NCL Gem, and was wondering if the pier we dock at is close to your meeting place, where your tour starts? Will the tour be in English? What is the approximate distance we will be walking? Do you know if any other cruise ships will also be at the port then? Thanks for your help! Morris
Written April 4, 2017
Hello Morris and MickyMike!
Thank you so much for inquiring about our tour!
We have an English public tour that departs every night at 8:00 from the park across the street from 94, rue du Petit Champlain. (Our UpperTown tour is only offered in French for the time being.) We ask that everyone be on site at least 10 minutes prior to departure. Our walking tour lasts 90 minutes. We begin in the LowerTown and finish in the UpperTown (not far from the Château Frontenac). Our route is around 2-2.5 km long and we do climb a hill. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.
There is a good chance that there will be a private tour catered for passengers of your ship, where a top-hatted guide will pick you up at the terminal and return you to the terminal after the tour. Please enquire with the activity coordinator of your ship for more information. Otherwise, you're welcome to join our public tour at 8pm. Safe travels!

Hi Sarah,
was the tour in English? We are going this week and would like to do it if it is in English.
Written April 30, 2016
Hello Lorna,
Thank you so much for contacting us!
Our English public ghost tour runs nightly at 8pm from May 1st until October 31st.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors (+65). Children 10 and under can join free of change as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Our tour is a lot of fun! We tell you all sorts of bizarre, spooky and try stories from Quebec's past. We lead our groups by lantern light through the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec. It is a great way to learn the stories history books have tried to forget! We tell you stories of treason, of murder, of executions and of course of ghostly apparitions!
Our tour begins in the Petit Champlain District in the Lower Town of Old Quebec and it lasts 90 minutes. We begin in front of 94, rue du Petit Champlain. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Your top hatted guide will be expecting you, his or her lantern lit in anticipation of your arrival. Our tour runs rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. We also climb a hill during our tour. Please wear appropriate footwear. We finish our tour in the UpperTown, not far from the Château Frontenac.
If you wish to reserve, we simply ask for a credit card number to secure all reservations. You can call us at our office, toll free at 1-855-692-9770 from Monday to Friday from 10-5 to provide us with that information, or you can purchase your tickets directly from our website.
We look forward to spoooooking you very soooooooon!
Jessi
